I wonder if the family would have received the same treatment from local officials and organizations if Jaime's great-grandfather Infante Alfonso of Spain hadn't decided to become a pretender to the Sicilian throne and HE Don Jaime de Borbón (ETA: his great-grandfather would surely not have changed his name to Borbón-Dos Sicilias in that scenario) only represented a junior branch of the Spanish extended royal family.

Now I understand , Don Pedro , Duke of Calabria went out with the Bride's Mother and Duchess Sophia with great Mantilla with the bride's Father.
Both the Duke of Calabria and the Duc of Note wore the Order of the Golden Fleece.

I will be happy to see the Orleans !

Did any members of the Spanish royal or extended royal family attend the Wedding?

In the Hola! link you can see a photo of the Duchess of Calabria. Is she perhaps wearing the diamond buttons of the button tiara as brooches on her dress?

Yes she is and also as earring. According to spanishroyals on Instagram these buttons once belonged to Archduchess Marie Christine of Austria, Duchess of Teschen and and went over the mother of Infanta Alicia into the Family.

Hola! claims it is a diadem from the Lindesay-Bethune family:

La noble escocesa ha optado por una tiara perteneciente a la familia de su padre James Lindesay-Bethune, conde de Lindsay. Se trata de una diadema Fringe de diamantes con remate de perlas a juego con sus pendientes de diamantes y perla a modo de gota.

(The Scottish noble lady has chosen a tiara belonging to the family of her father James Lindesay-Bethune, Earl of Lindsay. It is a fringe diamond headband with a pearl finish to match her diamond and pearl drop earrings.)

What a lovely wedding! The bride is very elegant and I think her hair is beautiful with the tiara.

I feel a little sorry for the lady seated in the front struggling with her two children! I’m guessing from Wikipedia it is the bride’s sister Alexandra with her two boys. The older of the two was carried down the aisle by a bridesmaid.

I am very surprised because no member of the Spanish Royal Family has attended this wedding, I expected to see Infanta Elena or Infanta Cristina, even Queen Sofia. They have always been very close to the Spanish Royal Family.

Or even at least some of the Acebo-Gomez and Zurita cousins but it appears none of them were there.

Not even a lot of Orleans relatives it seems, or they managed to stay away from the photo cameras. We only know that the duke of Anjou was there.

IIRC Flora Ogilvy's grandmother, Pss Alexandra of Kent, stayed for a while with the late count and countess of Paris & their many children in the manoir du Coeur-Volant in Louvenciennes to improve her French. She (Alexandra) must therefore be acquainted with the paternal grandmother of the groom.

According to noblesse & royautés the wedding was also attended by Mirko of Bulgaria - son of Prince Kubrat and Pss Carla and Prince Maximilian of Windisch Graetz. The mother of the latter attended the Liechtenstein-wedding of this weekend.

Edit:

According to Noblesse & royautés the following other members of the Orléans family were present:

Princesse Chantal of France and her husband et baron François-Xavier de Sambucy de Sorgue,
Pss Marie of France (married to Gundekar of Liechtenstein), the duke and duchess of Chartres, Pss Diane d’Orléans, vicountess de Noailles, Count Bruno and Css Christine of Limburg Stirum, Css Belen of Limburg Stirum and her daughter Inès, Pss Clotilde d’Orléans & Édouard Crépy, Pss Adélaïde d’Orléans & Pierre-Louis Dailly, Prince Charles-Philippe d'Orléans, Duke of Anjou.

Charles Philippe, was with his sisters Adelaide and Clotilde.

The photos seem to be made a bit random, probably if the wedding had been in Spain there would be many more family members and well-identified guests. Not even the groom's aunts appear in the Italian press.

maria-olivia 09-25-2021 06:29 PM

He was alone without his wife Diane de Cadaval .

I like the photo of the radiant bride holding her bouquet.

I did a mistake the Groom and his Father are not wearing the Order of the Golden Fleece.
Constantian order ? The Dowager Duchess Anne is wearing also an order pale blue ribbon.

Infanta Elena should be there or her Children. The Duc of Alba was not there but his Children. It is not the same Generation and the Father Don Pedro , Duke of Calabria is not Infant of Spain.

One of the bridal girls may be youngest sister of the groom, 6-year-old Maria.

I believe that the three bridesmaids are Sofía, Blanca and María the groom's three sisters.
