I am glad that she doesn't dress like this at engagements. Not impressed at all. But at times we see her preference for really tight trousers at official engagements too.

EvaH 03-07-2020 04:17 PM

I really love her off duty style. Normal 30+ yo style actually. I wear near identical outfits often. Classic, flattering and practical.

Lilyflo 03-07-2020 04:24 PM

I love this outfit too - her off duty style is very similar to how my daughter dresses (same age group).

Countessmeout 03-07-2020 05:19 PM

I am in that age group and sorry pretty dull.

Granny shoes and a turtleneck looking to strangle her.

The color is great and I’d wear the coat.

Her casual events looks are by far her best look age wise.

tausi 03-07-2020 05:31 PM

mmh, i have never met a granny dressed like that. Anyhow!!

I am on the same age group and I dress like that when running errands and stay comfortable.

I love the color of the coat!

I said the shoes were very granny and yeah many a grandmother had those.

I simply said the rest was dull.

Lumutqueen 03-07-2020 05:44 PM

Yeah I don’t know many grannies that would wear loafers like that. They’re incredibly popular in the U.K., particularly with the working woman.

Fem 03-07-2020 05:57 PM

I mean, to be completely honest, fashion often re-uses or re-imagines certain items or styles - a few times now I've been able to find in my mum's closet something that's trendy right now, but was also in style when she was my age. The loafers are certainly very "in", have been for quite a while now.

I'm a granny & I sometimes wear shoes like that with trousers & jeans. My daughter would wear the rest of Catherine's outfit but not the shoes - with jeans she usually wears ballet flats.

QueenPenny 03-07-2020 06:27 PM

Exactly how I dress to run errands, grab coffee/lunch with a friend, etc.

Yeah a loafer is hardly considered granny by us who are in their twenties. They're a classic staple that never go out of style and fit with nearly everything in a woman's wardrobe. It's not for nothing that the Gucci loafers and mules are a BIG fashion trend, especially amongst the Instagram influencer world.

Lady Marlboro 03-07-2020 08:16 PM

I love her coat and turtleneck sweater. The blue is lovely. I don't even mind the sprayed on jeans. She is on her time and can wear what she wants. I do think they are inappropriate for official engagements though.

Lady Daly 03-08-2020 01:13 AM

I see I'm among good company when I say I really like Catherine's blue coat, alot. Normally I wouldn't like the turtleneck being the same color, but it's a matching blue and together they look great! And I thought her loafers were Gucci too.

Well... I consulted Duchess Kate https://hrhduchesskate.blogspot.com/...drens.html?m=1

Catherine's loafers turn out to be the £195.00 Russell & Bromley Snaffle loafer in navy suede. Her coat is a Mulberry Paddington coat which she's had since 2015.

She looks great coming off her trip to Ireland and love that one of her first stops home was Waterstones for what's been reported as shopping for children's books.

Pranter 03-08-2020 09:59 AM

I like the look on her, the color and style. She looks like anyone else shopping ...does not look thrilled about the media, but few would.

Love it all as well

HereditaryPrincess 03-08-2020 05:59 PM

Catherine looked great during the Irish tour! Comfortable but suitable outfits for the events she was at.

muriel 03-09-2020 11:03 AM

Is Catherine wearing the coat dress from Christmas 2018 at Sandringham?

The coat is nice, but as usual I am not into the double buttons thing. Not sure about the hat.

Love the coat and hat, a very classic look.
