The Haga Princesses always have a place in the hearts of the Swedish people - and there are many who send greetings to Princess Christina and wonder how she is doing. So we gave the question to the court: How is the king's youngest sister?
- The latest is that she is recovered and that she is feeling well, says Margareta Thorgren, director of the press department, to Svensk Damtidning.
Hovets besked om Christina efter sjukdomen _ Svensk Dam

LadyFinn 10-09-2019 02:26 AM

Princess Christina is part of the royal family - but the Royal House. Nevertheless, she is the Haga Princess who works most frequently in the king's service.
One question remained unanswered during the press conference about the changes in the Royal House. The one about Princess Christina.
Christina is the Haga Princess who has worked the most in the King's service. She and husband Tord Magnuson live on Slottsbacken and have an incredibly close relationship with the King and Queen. Christina has also jumped in when there were gaps in the royal representation and thus helped Queen Silvia with an otherwise very heavy workload.
We asked Margareta Thorgren what Princess Christina's role will look like in the future.
- Princess Christina will receive her own invitations and she will continue to support the royal couple in programs that the king considers important. The entire royal family will support the Head of State to the extent necessary and Princess Christina has done a great deal and will continue to do so.

Princess Christina is writing a book about her grandmother, crown princess Margareta. The book will be published in April 2020.

Hon kallades Daisy (She was called Daisy)
Princess Christina never got to know her grandmother. Crown Princess Margareta, Gustaf VI Adolf's first wife died just 38 years old exactly 100 years ago, pregnant with her sixth child. Not only did she leave the family in paralyzing grief - she was mourned by a whole people. How come? And why was it so quiet after her?
Princess Christina has searched the private family archives for answers. She has gone through letters, photo albums and documents and traveled to her cousin Queen Margrethe in Denmark to find out more. In "Hon kallades Daisy", she gives life and color to an open and versatile talented English princess who fell in love with a Swedish prince in Cairo, was called the ray of sunshine at Stockholm Palaces, and tones as the first modern royal in Sweden.
Through her search, Princess Christina finally gets to know her grandmother Daisy. In the book she writes about her foresight and warm interest and commitment to people, even far outside her own circle, and she talks about her artistic talent and great interest in gardening. But she has also received an in-depth picture of her grandfather, Gustaf VI Adolf, when she meets him as a young man in love and later as fresh in the role of crown prince. In a conversation with her cousins Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte of Denmark, which is one of the chapters in the richly illustrated book, the images clarify even more.
The book is written in collaboration with Carl Otto Werkelid, who has been working as a journalist and cultural writer since the 1970s and for many years worked at Svenska Dagbladet, including as cultural director. He has also been a cultural adviser to the Swedish Embassy in London.
Hon kallades Daisy Bonnier Fakta

Princess Christina wrote also her first book Dagar på Drottningholm/Days at Drottningholm with Carl Otto Werkelid.

LadyFinn 11-18-2019 11:09 AM

Svensk Damtidning asked Margareta Thorgren about princess Christina's new book.

- Princess Christina is pleased that the book is coming out in the spring. She has been very involved and this is a project that has grown over several years, says Margareta Thorgren.
The book is called Hon kallades Daisy and the princess has gone through private family archives, documents and photo albums to find out who her grandmother really was. In addition, she has traveled to the cousin, Queen Margrethe, to get a clearer picture of their common relative, Crown Princess Margareta.
Why did the princess choose to write this book?
- Basically, it's about the princess having a very strong cultural-historical interest. Crown Princess Margareta was an amazing woman with many different interests that Princess Christina wanted to portray.
Where did she find information about her grandmother?
- At the Bernadotte Library, at the Royal Palace.
What did Queen Margrethe's imput mean during the work?
- Getting to know the queen's knowledge of their common relative meant a lot.

Princess Christina was one of those who would have been present when the Anders Wall Foundation on next Tuesday planned to deliver its scholarships at the Royal Academy of Music. A ceremony that traditionally always takes place on Anders Wall's birthday.
Princess Christina has delivered the scholarships in many years. But now the whole party is set.
- In light of the rapidly deteriorating situation regarding the spread of the corona virus and the number of new cases, the board of the Anders Wall Foundation has decided to suspend this year's scholarship distribution. This was not an easy decision to make, but it is done for all of you. Now we hope to welcome this year's scholarship recipients at a special gathering later this spring and count on your full understanding of this decision - which has been taken into account for all of you, says Anders Wall.
- There were 600 guests, so Anders Wall thought it was unwise to gather so many in this rather cramped room, says Cari Hildebrand, who is the press officer for Anders Wall's Scholarships.

This is an important spring for Princess Christina. Soon her new book is coming - but the uncertainty is great, because of the corona crisis.
In a month it will be out: Princess Christina's long-awaited book about her own grandmother, named "Hon kallades Daisy" (She was called Daisy) - and takes out of the shadows the 23-year-old English princess who fell in love with Gustaf VI Adolf at a ball in Cairo in 1905. And who died just 15 years later, 38 years old and pregnant with her sixth child.
- It is a very fascinating woman's fate that Princess Christina highlights. She has never really known her grandmother. But she has got to do that now, in connection with the book, says Sofia Heurlin at the publisher Bonnier Fakta.
But the book launch risks not really becoming as it was intended. The invitations to the reception at Prince Eugen's Waldemarsudde have been sent out, and the plan is for Princess Christina and her co-author Carl Otto Werkelid to also tell us about her book.
- They have done a fantastic job, and they have had access to the royal family archives in both Denmark and Sweden, says Sofia Heurlin.
Among other things, Princess Christina's cousin Queen Margrethe helped to deepen the image of their common petition.
But now in the middle of the corona crisis there is a great risk that the publisher will have to postpone the whole event.
- It's not set yet. But definitely that can be so. The situation changes from day to day. But as I said, nothing has been decided, says Sofia Heurlin.
And the book signings that are planned?
- Yes, they can not be implemented as it looks right now, but some authors sign here at us and then the books are sent out.
- Then there will be some interviews too, but those the Princess and Carl Otto do on the phone and digital.

However, Margareta Thorgren doesn't want to say whether Christina and Tord chose the Ingarö house as their sanctuary during the corona crisis.
- The court doesn't comment where the princess is privately, said Thorgren.

Princess Christina is in Stockholm. She was seen yesterday.

LadyFinn 04-04-2020 03:23 AM

Ewa Eiman and her students met princess Christina at Slottsbacken, Ewa Eiman told about the meeting to Svensk Damtidning.

Ewa Eiman and her students at Solstrålen in Stockholm were recently out on a city walk - when they suddenly encountered Princess Christina.
- We have learned about the 18th century. Gustav III is the children's favorite. Now we were out looking for buildings that symbolize his time, Ewa says.
- When we went down Slottsbacken, I saw her. I love the royal family, so I thought she was familiar. When she would unlock a gate, because she would park her car, I recognized her. Then I said to the children: “Now you see a real princess! You can wave to her!”.
Christina noticed Ewa and her children - and came to them.
- She kept herself within a meter of course, says Ewa.
- She was very humble and nice. She asked the children what they were doing, why they were there and heard all about our project. They will remember that. I told them that she is the king's big sister. It was an incredibly nice meeting. You have to keep in mind that she is in the risk group, and yet she comes and talks.
Did she look good?
- Yes! She was very alert and brisk.
- I asked if I could take a picture, and I got it!

About princess Christina's book about her grandmother she has written with Carl Otto Werkelid. They have given an interview to TT News Agency, which other media quotes.

Princess Christina has found her grandmother
"The ray of sunshine at Stockholm Palace". This is how Hjalmar Branting is said to have called Crown Princess Margareta after she had died at 38, in the suites of an ear infection. 100 years later, Princess Christina has found her grandmother in the archives.
Certainly she saw the woman in the painting that always hung with her grandfather, Gustaf VI Adolf, in his floor at Stockholm Palace. But Princess Christina never heard him talk about Margareta - "Darling Daisy" as she had been called in the family, his first British wife and mother of the five children - also pregnant with a sixth when she died in 1920.
- She was what she was, a beautiful painting that hung there. I knew I had a grandmother but nothing more than that, end of discussion.
Princess Christina's father had died in a plane crash when she was three years old, and she wouldn't ask her grandfather.
- I can regret it today but I didn't do that. I don't really know what I would have asked, it's hard to imagine it now, she says.
- That never happened.
Gusty and Daisy
The explanations for the monumental silence now constitute the issue - and the pain spot - in Princess Christina and Carl Otto Werkelid's book "Hon kallades Daisy" (She was called Daisy). In connection with the investigations into their first book "Days at Drottningholm", they found a gold mine: annual scrapbooks that Crown Princess Margareta herself had made, but also deeply personal letters that she had written to her friend in England, including directly after her first meeting with "Gusty" on a ball in Cairo 1905.
After just one more meeting, they got engaged, which was reinforced with a first kiss.
- I knew the formal event, but I hadn't read her own experience of it. It was mind-boggling, imagine yourself reading your grandmother's story of her great love, says Princess Christina.
The Bernadotte archive proved to contain much of what Gustaf VI Adolf couldn't talk about. Hjalmar Branting was not the only one who had expressed missing the crown princess. At the Swedish Academy, Selma Lagerlöf held a literary memorial on "a shimmering noble lily" which, in wartime, "encumbered the shame of begging for gifts for the poor". But here was also the estate inventory with seven diadem and a porridge cooker.
Margareta's great garden interest - she wrote two books - had lived on, but not the knowledge that she was breastfeeding her children, something publicly announced, or about her strong commitment to prisoners of war during the First World War. Equally unknown was her campaign to get the Swedes to start eating nutritious weeds - goosefoot - which she picked up by herself.
- It took a while before we realized what it was. But that they could be used as spinach and that they were healthy and nutritious, she knew that. She not only showed this to her family but also to her friends, says Princess Christina.
- I got an insight into how incredible much she was involved in and how much she set in motion, especially during the war years, from 1914 to 1918. She saw the problems but also possible solutions, that was significant to her.
The light is strong, some actual shadows could not be dug out despite trying, according to Carl Otto Werkelid. He describes Margareta as a person who broke herself free, went outside the protocol and made contact with people herself. Her life fell short, but seemed happy.
- We haven't found anything in the letters or documents that say otherwise. She was an incredibly harmonious and well-balanced person from the very beginning, and to then experience this strong love as it obviously was, it makes a person strong, he says.
In the scrapbooks, Princess Christina also found newspaper articles on things that interested her grandmother, including the fight for female suffrage.
- It's difficult to know what she could have achieved if she had lived longer, but she sees quite clearly that she and her family shouldn't float on top but be an example.

Dagens Nyheter interviewed princess Christina about her book. The interview is a paywall article, but Expressen quotes some of it.

The youngster who became King Gustav VI Adolf fell in 1905 to Margaret of Connaught - they would have five children.
She died young in 1920 and is today forgotten.
Now Princess Christina has written a book about her unknown grandmother.
- She was very modern for her time, she could have lived 50 years later and been exactly the same person, Christina tells DN.
In Dagens Nyheter's Saturday issue, Christina talks about the search for Margareta's story - and how Christina's own siblings expressed their concern about the project.
- They have probably been a little worried. Are you really going to do any of this?, says the princess to DN.
Gustaf VI Adolf was called Gusty by his Daisy (Margareta). They met for the first time in Cairo when the last century was in its fifth year.
Apparence arose after a dance at a party. They immediately engaged, married June 15, and in April 1906 the first of their five children was born.
But they only got 15 years together - in 1920 Daisy, 38 years old, died of a blood poisoning, and pregnant with the couple's sixth child. Gusty remarried after three and a half years. 1973 At the age of 91, he passed away.
Thus, one of Gustaf VI Adolf's grandchildren - also known as Mrs. Magnuson - has tried to capture Daisy's dramatic story.
She is asked why it became so quiet about Daisy, even within the family. Princess Christina replies:
- In part, this is probably due to the fact that at that time there was not much talk about sorrows and worries. Grandpa might just be trying to protect his children: "We won't talk about Mammy anymore, she's gone, now we move on ..."
She goes on to say that today she regrets not asking more questions about Daisy from her grandfather.
Something she thinks is important to do in the corona times we live in now.
- Ask the elderly before it's too late. Ask them to tell you how it really was.

- There has never been a direct line between my grandmother and me. I was simply very curious. Who was she? How was she? says Christina in the program.
It's easy to be impressed by "Daisy", Christina says.
- She was very spontaneous. She turned directly to people. She was involved in so much. She lived in a difficult time, the First World War was no easy period. She also had relatives around Europe, so it was very personal for her. She had a thousand engagements. She helped prisoners of war. She built a small organization, she says.
For Christina, the book has meant an important discovery. She has felt a connection to Margareta - a kind of spiritual relationship.
- I notice that we have thought a little in the same way. It's exciting to me. Because this is a person I have never been able to meet in person. But to still feel that, over the centuries, there is a certain sense of something that binds us together, that's fine, says Christina.
- I feel very close to the person who disappeared a hundred years ago. It's an amazing feeling.

As a member of the Bernadotte family, princess Christina has exclusive access to a family archive which, according to Gustaf VI Adolf's will, will not be opened to outsiders until 2035. The archive proved to be a real gold mine for Princess and cultural writer Carl Otto Werkelid. Carl Otto is co-author of the book which became the end result of the research project. Countless hours, the duo sat in the castle's Bernadotte library and went through numerous letters, cards, photographs and scrapbooks that provided important clues to who Crown Princess Margareta was as a person.
Prinsessan Christina skrev bok om sin farmor – Hemmets Journal

Cecilia Hagen's chronicle
Princess Christina has now, together with Carl Otto Werkelid, done just that, written a book about her grandmother, "She was called Daisy - finding a grandmother" it is called. And it's that "along with" that I envy her a bit, plus all the other help she thanks at the end.
Now this Daisy, born Princess Margaret of Connaught, Swedish Crown Princess, is married to the future Gustav VI Adolf, mother of Gustaf Adolf, Sigvard, Ingrid (who became queen of Denmark), Bertil and Carl Johan Bernadotte in a completely different league than mine Ellen Hagen, but still.
Regardless of this, it is a pure pleasure to read the book. Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson, the present King's sister, the fourth girl in a row that Prince Gustaf Adolf - who died in an air crash in 1947 - and German Princess Sibylla had before it finally became a boy. This does not seem to have made her forever bitter, because in this book, which is written in I-form, she appears so wise and sympathetic that all possible prejudices about royalty flow from the reader directly.
What the book depicts is a moving love story, the one about how her grandfather on a ball in Cairo meets her grandmother. He is 22 years old, she is 23 and they fall completely madly in love and get engaged soon.
They have fifteen very happy years together and five children at sixth before she, 38 years old, quickly dies in blood poisoning.

Princess Christina talks about her new life, after leukemia. She has a long sick time behind her, with her chronic leukemia and the very tough stem cell treatment she went through three years ago.
But now it has brightened for Princess Christina. She has just released her second book, She was called Daisy - Finding a Grandmother, and the work of getting to know Crown Princess Margareta - during three long winters in the Royal Palace archives - has been a good help on the road to healing.
- It has been a puzzle since no one who knew her is left, so I have been looking for clues and allowed to enter her world. And it's been an adventure.
This is stated by Princess Christina in P4 Extra, where she was a guest today with the host Titti Schultz. Or rather: Titti Schultz was a guest she Princess Christina, for the interview was done at the book publisher in Stockholm.
Christina continues:
- For me, it is a very personal attempt, a selfish project to find my grandmother and to get into a person that I very much wanted to get to know.
The Margareta that Princess Christina met during the work emerges as a warm and spontaneous personality, but also with a seriousness and depth.
Have you found any events about Crown Princess Margareta where you felt that "no we can't bring this"?
- Yeah! But there will be no glimpses of it, because that is why they have not been taken!
But this is where Princess Christina's co-author Carl Otto Werkelid hawks a bit, and says that at this point they have not agreed quite:
- I probably wanted to bring little more than Christina has thought…
Christina, your grandmother was just 38 and pregnant with her sixth child when she unexpectedly died of blood poisoning. What made that your grandfather never wanted to talk about her after that?
- Yes, I have been thinking about that too. There are certainly different explanations. Of course, it was such a shocking experience for the whole family. And perhaps it was also the spirit of 1920, after the war, when so many had lost relatives. You couldn't afford to grieve in the way we do today.
Princess Christina also tells her that her grandmother and grandfather were so in love.
- It was something that I absolutely wanted to show with the book. And it is also something that feels very warm in my heart!
“How do you talk about this in the royal family? Do you walk around thinking about your relatives as historical persons? Or like ordinary people?" asks P4 Extras Titti Schultz. And Christina replies spontaneously:
- Well, like ordinary people! This is our family!
Then Carl Otto Werkelid gets asked if he has found any similarities between Princess Christina and her grandmother Margareta. And he answers sincerely, despite Christina's happy protest:
- There are similarities absolutely! It is precisely in this to be very grounded, to have a clear picture of what one is doing and what the role and mission entails. That there should be a balance. There is no affectation, but straight like it is.
- Haha, I don't hear this! says Princess Christina with a giggle.

It has been a tough spring for the king's sister, Princess Christina. In 2016, she was diagnosed with chronic blood cancer. An illness that meant she had to undergo regular chemotherapy treatments and cut down on her official commitments.
But fortunately, treatments were effective and in recent years Christina has enjoyed life as a pensioner and spent much time with her children and grandchildren. Then came the coronavirus and suddenly Christina's medical history became extremely present again. As a former cancer patient, she was particularly vulnerable and the princess once again had to isolate herself to avoid becoming infected.
Christina has therefore not met her loved ones during the spring, which of course has been tough. The only one she has really been in close contact with is her husband Tord Magnuson, Svensk Damtidning has found out. The couple lives on Slottsbacken, in the middle of the city, but there have been no major excursions in the royal capital.
When the government released some of its restrictions, and announced to the public that it is okay to travel in Sweden, it was a real joy message for Christina and Tord. The couple has a summer house on Ingarö, in Värmdö municipality outside Stockholm. A favorite place that they usually go to. And now they can return to their favorite island and enjoy some of the Swedish summer in the Stockholm archipelago.

Lars Wallin on designing Vicky Andrén's wedding dress
They may have gone their separate ways. But we still remember Gustaf Magnuson's wedding to Vicky Andrén. In his "Summer" talk, his friend Lars Wallin now talks about the emotional details of the wedding.
At the end of August 2013, the royal children's cousin, Princess Christina's son, Gustaf Magnuson, married supermodel Vicky Andrén.
Today, Vicky and Gustaf have gone their separate ways. In January this year, they filed for divorce. They have a child together, a little daughter.
Lars Wallin about designing Vicky's wedding dress:
- It is always extra special when you know the bride from ancient times. As for example with the Swedish top model Vicky Andrén. Vicky was only 13 years old when we first met. I was in Italy making a TV recording for Model Search. We were going to do her first photography and filming and I immediately saw that she was a natural talent.
- Since then, we have done many photoshoots and shows over the years - both in Sweden and abroad. So when she was going to marry Gustaf Magnuson, Princess Christina's son, and asked me if I wanted to make her wedding dress, I was naturally extra happy. When you know a person, it is easier to bring out the personality in the dress. I wanted to make a large silhouette that would feel "royal", then it can easily get a little heavy but we worked with thin materials to get a sheer lightness. It was layers of silk organza and French lace that we cut out and sewed on by hand. They formed an organic pattern that looked like they were climbing over the dress.
- I think it's extra fun when the whole studio has to make an effort to the breaking point. And when their professional skills are put to the test. I myself was a guest at the wedding. Sometimes I get invited, even though I do not know the bride before.
Lars Wallin concluded:
- It's so special with weddings. To be involved in creating perhaps life's most important dress. Expectations are sky high. There are so many nerves, emotions and love.

Princess Christina came across a piece of family history that she had to document. She contacted her friend and journalist Carl Otto Werkelid, and together they wrote the book "She was called Daisy - to find a grandmother".
The book is about Crown Princess Margareta, the English girl who met Gustaf VI Adolf at a ball in Cairo in 1905 and then gave birth to five children, one of whom was Christina's father, Gustav Adolf. Margareta died only 38 years old.
The book was released in April and has become a bestseller. According to figures from the site Boktugg, it has consistently been on the top list of the best-selling non-fiction books in the country. In April and May, it climbed to the top of the top list for a few weeks, only beaten by a cookbook by Paul Svensson.
A consolation for Christina, whose book launch others have received a shock because of corona. In October, it was thought that an exhibition about Princess Margareta would be held at the Royal Palace, due to the fact that this year, 2020, it is a hundred years from her death. Then, of course, Christina would participate and get to share her new insights.
But then the coronavirus came and put an end to all plans. Now the exhibition has been postponed until the autumn of 2021 instead. A sad message for Christina - and for all of us.

Princess Christina is an incredibly popular member of the Swedish royal family. But despite the love from the Swedish people, she has chosen to keep a low profile in the public.
Princess Christina is perhaps the sister who has worked most in her brother's office. When the king and queen have needed help with the representation, Christina has always been there for them. She lives on Slottsbacken, in the middle of the action, and often moves out in Stockholm city.
But the fact is that Christina does not like to be associated with her title. Among other things, she has worked with the Red Cross and then Eva von Oelreich, who was previously the organization's chairman, told how the princess was as a colleague.
- Christina was extremely easy to work with. Concrete and factual. Always equally well-read and a very deep knowledge of everything we did. She was also very listening, Eva von Oelreich has told in an earlier interview with Expressen.
They got to know each other in the early nineties and Christina was very clear from the beginning how she wanted to be titled. And not.
- She made it clear early on that she was Christina Magnuson. Not Princess Christina. She used to say that here I am chairman Christina Magnuson. Not a princess.
In 2010, Christina suffered from breast cancer and in October 2016, the court announced that the king's sister suffered from chronic blood cancer. In other words, the last few years have been really tough for the princess, but she has gone through both chemotherapy and radiation. And today Christina is well and can enjoy the quiet life as a pensioner, with her husband Tord, the three sons and grandchildren.

Princess Christina was interviewed in September by Kyrkans Tidning, the Church of Sweden's editorially independent newspaper.
Princess Christina talked at the interview about her book of her grandmother crown princess Margareta "Hon kallades Daisy", which she wrote with Carl Otto Werkelid. And she spoke also about herself.
Kyrkans Tidning met Princess Christina and Carl Otto Werkelid in the Church of England in Stockholm. In 1913, Margareta laid the first brick of the church, which seven years later had a new glass window, in memory of the dead Crown Princess.

No, we will "never in life" get to read Princess Christina's memoirs or hear her in Sommarprat. She has the same attitude as her grandmother Crown Princess Margareta, rather depict others than allow herself to be depicted.
Christina was only three years old when her father died. She doesn't remember anyone telling her that her Dad was dead, she and the King were so small. It took Christina many years to realize that she had no father. Only as an adult she started to miss. Only after a certain experience and maturity you realize what you have lost. Christina doesn't remember anything about her Dad. They had the family and so many people around them who all did the best they could, and they didn't talk about the dead. Christina points out that her mother lost a much-loved brother in the war and her mother's youngest brother lived severely traumatized by the war at their home in Haga.
When Christina's siblings heard that she was going to write a book about their grandmother, they didn't like it at all, that is completely unnecessary, they said. But now when they have read it, they are really happy about it, it feels very fun.
Christina's grandchildren are still quite young and haven't started asking about their grandmother's relatives, they have a hard time even realizing that Christina's background is not like all other grandmothers'. One of Christina's sons is interested and now there are great opportunities to search for information.
Every day, Christina embroiders for a while, it's a therapy thing for her. Her children wonder what she should do with all the finished embroidery, sell them at auction, do an exhibition, they say. But it is the doing itself that is the fun, not the result. Christina says that there will be no exhibition.
Christina has a personal faith that is expressed in different ways. She is active in the court parish, where she was a member of the church council for many years. Now she is chairman of the annual church meeting and a sounding board for church music. Christina is amused by music and has constant discussions with the court organist about what should and should not be played. She sang for a long time in a choir, but finds it difficult to choose a favorite hymn.

New photo of princess Christina

Princess Christina has been photographed by Mattias Edwall to the campaign "Kavla upp" (Roll up your sleeves). Sweden's communication agencies' campaign is about convincing the population that vaccination is the only effective way to stop the spread of infection.
"The campaign is a completely private initiative by Sweden's Communications Agencies and is completely funded through private donations from some of Sweden's most well-known business profiles such as Karl-Johan Persson/Chairman of H&M, Daniel Ek/founder of Spotify, Marta Schorling Andreen, Robert Andreen, Cristina Stenbeck, Petter Stordalen, Mats Qviberg, Harald Mix, Johan Andersson/CEO of Mellby Gard to name a few."

Now Sweden's celebrities will attract more people to get vaccinated.
In the giant campaign "Roll up your sleeves", where the entire elite from Tusse to Princess Christina line up, everyone is encouraged to take the shot at covid-19.
PR man Micael Bindefeld, with his huge network of contacts in the celebrity world, was connected. About 50 well-known artists and profiles in sports and business, as well as a royalty, have now been photographed and filmed for the campaign.
The Swedish Public Health Agency and The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency are informed and have given their blessing to the campaign.

The King has decided on medal awards for H.M. The King's Medal and the Litteris et Artibus Medal.

I'm so happy for this, princess Christina deserves this.
She got The Prince Carl Medal in 2002. The Prince Carl Medal is instituted in 1945 on the retirement of Prince Carl from the chairmanship of the Swedish Red Cross, is awarded for national or international humanitarian activity.

A lecture (Zoom) on 9th June
The Friends of the Royal Armoury have the great pleasure and honor to present the lecture on Crown Princess Margareta together with Princess Christina Mrs. Magnuson and author Carl Otto Werkelid, who last year published the book about Crown Princess Margareta. It will be a tour of what was once the Crown Prince Couple's floor at the Palace, there will be the long-awaited exhibition about Crown Princess Margareta. We get a unique insight into her life and history through her granddaughter Princess Christina Fru Magnuson who tells about her work with the book "She was called Daisy" and the hunt for a dear relative who left many imprints in her own time. Claes-Johan Larsson, journalist and board member of the Friends of the Royal Armoury, is our cicerone.

This prestigious award has only been presented once before. The princess has, among other things, been chairman of the Swedish Red Cross 1993–2002.
An order or a medal provided with diamonds is very rare and constitutes a personal thank you from the monarch to highly deserved recipients. The person who most recently received a medal with diamonds in Sweden was Prince Bertil, who received the same medal on his 75th birthday on 28 February 1987. Members of the royal family receive royal medals only for special merits.

The Friends of the Royal Armoury's digital season finale was a resounding success with around 340 members connected, when we had the honor and pleasure to be visited by Princess Christina Mrs Magnuson for a live screening of the exhibition "Daisy. Crown Princess Margareta, 1882-1920", which opened at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on June 6, in what was once the Crown Prince Couple's apartment.
