Perhaps FasterB, who know every single priest in DK personally, can tell us more about him?

I'm not sure, but I think the couple is the same ones in whose cabin she stays when she is on vacation in Norway.

The media more or less expect M&F and J&M to drop by at some point during Easter. - So far there haven't been any reports, but I think it's very likely M&F will drop by for a day or two on their way back to Copenhagen from Trend, where I'm pretty certain they are staying these days.

Yes, that's them.

The Norwegian friends own a comfortable Norwegian ski cabin in Gausdal, where Queen Margrethe has come for years to enjoy her annual winter holiday.

Eleonore Sibbern and the Queen know each other all the way back from their youth.
Here is a picture (taken at the cabin in Gausdal) from an interview she gave to the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten last year - during her winter holiday:

That's a great photo, Royal Norway! :flowers:

QMII went totally Norwegian. :norwayflag:

Alas, it seems like M&F and J&M did not visit QMII at Marselisborg, which to me suggests that M&F were not celebrating Easter at Trend. - Because Marselisborg is pretty much on the way home from Trend.

But back to Norway, like most Danes QMII don't have that big a problem understanding Norwegian - the other way around can be a little more tricky though, as illustrated in this brief Norwegian documentary.
Notice the attire. All Norwegians are by law required to be blonde and wear knitted sweaters, caps and socks. Hence the reason why QMII dressed like a Norwegian in order to blend in. - Otherwise she might cause confusion and even traffic jams. :ermm:

This evening, Queen Margrethe received by Fredensborg City's torch train at Innre Slotsgaard at Fredensborg Castle.
Every year, Fredensborg Trade and Crafts Association, together with the local scout corps, organizes a torch train from Fredensborg Station to Fredensborg Castle, where the Town Orchestra plays in Indre Slotsgaard.

I must admit Muhler that I understood the Norwegian better than drunken Danish! Thanks for this lovely insight into Scandinavian history.:flowers:

Thanks for a funny video, Muhler! :flowers:

But to be serious, Danish is (as QMII said it in her speech to King Harald and Queen Sonja on the occasion of their 80th birthdays las year) actually pretty well understood in Norway – provided that you pronounce it carefully and do not speak too fast.

Read the speech here:

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #15, 2018.
Written by Trine Larsen.

Each spring QMII moves her residence to Fredensborg for the summer and on the first evening it's tradition that the local bid her welcome with a torch procession. That was also the case this year, where she now stood alone on the stairs...

It all starts with locals, including scouts, marching up to Fredensborg and entering the courtyard, where the QMII is standing on the main stairs leading into the palace.
Once there the local mayor, for Fredensborg town gives a speech welcoming QMII.
PH was very much mentioned in the mayor's speech. Over the many summers the Regent Couple stayed at Fredensborg PH was often out and about chatting with the locals or simply taking part in a local event.

As so often before, something went wrong. The mayor ended his speech by calling for the locals to join him in cheering QMII, but he forgot to say nine cheers! So after the first three cheers, the mayor was the only one cheering. - At birthdays and whenever here in DK it usually only three cheers (and a short *), but for the Majesty it's nine. Oh well, QMII laughed it off. - So one more time; this time the correct nine cheers.

As always QMII gave a little speech in return, thanking the locals for their welcome and expressing her delight in being back at Fredensborg again. And also expressing how much the kid words about PH meant to her.

QMII and the locals then sang the national anthem. (**) And QMII turned around and walked slowly, almost hesitantly back inside.

(*) Hurra! Hurra! Hurra! - Hu! (And usually the long one as well: Hurraaaa!)

(**) There is the national anthem and the royal anthem, both are used officially. Some claim there is a third anthem as well, but that is unofficial.
