Frederik was the first royal to show his support to Japan after the disaster in 2011. BB article and picture (sure kongehuset.dk will publish more pictures as well) Kronprins Frederik fik en pakke ris som symbolsk gave | BILLED-BLADET Crown Prince Frederik's visit to catastrophe affected areas of Japan in 2011: Kronprinsen på besøg i Japan - 14. juni - Kongehuset To my surprise - a good one - TV2 news tonight brough had a clip from Frederik receive the gift from Japan toda in Frederik 8's Palace and spoke with Frederik afterwards. It's IMO a new more open - and great way than we have seen before from the DRF. F&M nice and quietly modernize the royal house and adapts it their young generation. We also see it with the Mary Foundation having their own Facebook site. Maybe TV2 put up the clip on their website later tonight. :previous: As Muhler kindly pointed out to me, I'm getting old too  And I of course mean Japan - not Vietnam. |
:previous:lol , it happens to us all.
What a great gesture between the two countries. Lovely to see that Frederik's trip was received and still remembered. In time of need is when you see a person's true self. (of course not only by Frederik but by the Danish red cross) :flowers: |

- That he was the very first royal at all, including the Japanese Imperial family, who went to the area. And that he went there while it was still uncertain how high the radiation level really was. |

:previous: Curling must be considered the weirdest sport ever invented by mankind!
I mean, what kind of weed do you have to smoke in order to come up with this suggestion: Let's attach a handle to a stone and slide it across ice in order to hit other stones. And just to make sure we don't fall asleep from boredom, let us each get a broom and sweep the ice. And people who enjoy watching curling, must people who use Valium as a stimulant! |
Quote:
I couldn't understand why my husband sat up, late at night, watching curling during the Olympics in Italy years ago (our team was starting to do surprisingly well). I found myself watching too, and believe it or not, it was sooo exciting. And without Valium...I can't deny some white wine or several beer. Well, a silver medal was the outcome and I'm still the secretary of a local "curling club", a club that never had any meetings. I think many people in my country had a very different view of curling after those games. We used to go curling when I was a teenager and it's fun! |
:previous:Im not going to lie, I have also found myself watching curling. especially during the Olympics. maybe its the spirit of the games but you can get wrapped in ;)
what a wonderful attitude and smile from Frederik. So handsome https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CURVMIxUkAAy-U6.jpg:large whether its taling with delegates or at a sports event, Frederik shows a positive attitude " - In Esbjerg Municipality, we are very proud that Crown Prince Frederik again showing interest in a major sporting event that we host. We prioritize elite sport high, and the energy that is in sports, well suited to the mood and the development of our city, told Esbjerg Municipality's Mayor, Johnny Søtrup before the official opening." note from the DRF website European Curling Championships 2015 - Kongehuset "At the opening ceremony involved the Crown Prince in the parade and put the first ceremonial stone. Then the Crown Prince attend a short meeting with the Danish men's and women team. Later in the day the Crown Prince attend the opening matches in Esbjerg Skøjtehal." another picture https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CUSRM9CUwAErc6U.jpg and video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXaP...ature=youtu.be |
