I love the suit. It's so lovely, beautiful and elegant.

Frelinghighness 07-14-2015 01:56 PM

Me too! Love the whole look, color, cut which is perfect for her, the shorter jacket, scarf and shoes. Just perfect. Also like the material

eya 07-15-2015 01:32 AM

Perfect outfit for the Queen.

LadyFinn 07-18-2015 06:48 AM

Queen Silvia yesterday at crown prince Alexander's 70th birthday celebrations. Beautiful colour, nice dress. I would have left the brooch away.

Such a pretty color and a nice style.
I like the look and the long necklace.

Beautiful dress and the necklace too.

That's a lovely look. She looks radiant. Are the King and Queen linking fingers or are they just very close together?

Queen Silvia wore, a repeated dress from the King's 40th Jubilee, to the Gala dinner for Crown Prince Alexander's 70th birthday.

I never liked the pink gown.

Marty91charmed 07-19-2015 03:50 PM

Wow, may I say that I didn't expect such a change of style from her majesty? I am a little unsure about her flat and longer(?) hair but I like the dress! Well done!

Florestane 07-19-2015 06:24 PM

I don't mind the gown. I like the hair but then I've never been a particular fan of bouffant hairstyles - generally, I find them quite aging and frumpy.

I'm dizzy! :dizzy:- but it does remind me of an old- timey nursing uniform, so I can see why she chose to wear it.

This is a little different I think from what Queen Silvia might normally choose, but I like the fact that the outfit is a little avant-garde. It has a sort of Japanese feel about it.

OK, I can relate to dizzy, but it has a more "Jailhouse" vibe to me. Either way, not on a Queen, and certainly not Queen Silvia.

Oh dear, I think the wrap came with the gown and looks about as comfortable and stiff as a board. It certainly wouldn't drape around her as a comfortable shawl, so she's stuck with it.

But wait! All is not lost with our trusty Queen. There is nothing like a beautiful bit of bling to take care of that little problem. Kudos for the bling, thumbs down for uncomfortable couture.

I dislike the red dress. The rose is awful, the cleavage isn't good and from side view the dress is just not nice.

roseroyal 09-25-2015 02:13 PM

Honestly, I don't know what to say about the red dress. I can't help but like it- even though it looks a little nightgown-y and I don't care for the pleat-y things that make it look wrinkled - because HM looks great in it. So I like the dress. The only thing I really don't care for is the Rose . How do I say this? It looks like she has a Rose growing out of her... Why would one design a dress like that? Put the Rose somewhere else - I like roses or ditch it.Why would one wear a dress with a Rose like that ?
That's another thing- the dress shows more cleavage than I'm comfortable with- though it's not the worst Iv'e seen. And yet I still like the dress. I can't make up my mind. Argh! I hope if HM reads this I don't hurt her feelings. One long post for a dress. Hope I make sense!

IloveCP 09-26-2015 02:21 AM

Great color but I dislike the design.

I actually think that the state visit was really nice in the sartorial department for Queen Silvia. And I love the red and blue dress. It is an odd combination, but she looks really regal in that dress!

HereditaryPrincess 10-09-2015 04:42 PM

Overall Silvia has looked great in Lithuania. I think my favourite outfit is her suit and cape she wore yesterday. I love electric blue though feel that only some people can really pull it off well - and Silvia is one of those people. My least favourite outfit is the peach dress she wore at the state dinner on Wednesday.

SnowBirds 12-10-2015 07:43 PM

Not a good look at all, the fabric on the top and the bottom did not go together, there was something off there. The design of the top was not well executed at all, it looked lopsided to me. And the neckline was too wide, this entire gown had to much going on at one time, the colors, the fabric, the design, nothing went together, not a cohesive look for her. From the beginning I thought she looked a bit tired and yet there was a spark later of her not looking tired. Must of been a very long evening for her! Yet she can wear a tiara like nobody other queen can, she really knows how to wear her jewels,

I agree. This dress for me was not a win. It did not fit her well, especially while sitting, it seemed to be too big for her. The jewels however were gorgeous as usual. And yes, she wears tiaras wonderfully, the only person who can wear one as well is ...... Queen Elizabeth II (IMO).

Yeah, when I first saw that I thought she was wearing a leather dress...

princess gertrude 12-11-2015 02:57 PM

Oh my! From the neck up, she looks stunning, from the neck down, she looks as if she were wrapped in latex. This is just awful. I'm having a hard time understanding who told her she looked good in this.

LadyFinn 12-11-2015 03:06 PM

The only good thing in yesterday's outfit was the red colour. The top and skirt didn't suit together at all. And the outfit looked too big for the queen.

Today's outfit is too tight. And there is too much blue with the Leuchtenberg sapphires. Just diamonds with the dress would have looked better.

eya 12-11-2015 03:17 PM

And the two days the Queen she was impressive at all

Lady Marlboro 12-11-2015 10:28 PM

Both nights Queen Silvia's jewelry looks great. The dresses - not so much. I recommend a bonfire for both.

SnowBirds 12-12-2015 01:15 AM

:previous:
I so agree about the bonfire, that got a chuckle for sure. I don't know who designed that gown, they need to go back to school and learn the basics of good design, she looks very uncomfortable in that gown and being comfortable is something you learn about a person body when making something just for them, and what is that *thing* hanging from her waist? How could she walk out the door thinking that was gown to be seen in of all places the Nobles is mind boggling. Just not a good year for Silvia and her Noble gowns.

I didn't like either dress.
First dress- two fabrics that did not go together.
Second dress- two fabrics that did not go together- and that awful shiny top. Of the two it was the worst. What was she thinking?

I'm not a fan of Silvia's gown. The colour is nice but the material looks quite cheap.

I love it. Love, the color, and simple cut but sparkly fabric and mix of fabric. Is that a giant bow or train?
