Will it be like in 1993 when all the foreign heads of State and other Royals walked in the procession from the Palace to the Cathedral? Or only the belgian Royal Family?

Moonmaiden23 12-12-2014 02:39 AM

Oh my God...they are going to have music from the Faure Requiem? That one is a favorite of mine...so gorgeous!

I don't tink so. The weather in Belgium today is very bad with lots of rain and wind.

RTL has already started the broadcast, Fabiola's hairdresser is talking

Mine too!!! I've sung it many times. Sooo beautiul

VTM's steam is running now too.

Marchesina 12-12-2014 03:07 AM

Philippe and Mathilde's children are also there...they arrived with their aunt Astrid (their parents arrived a little earlier in a flagship car

I'm surprised only Queen Paola is wearing a mantilla...I like this costume for a funeral

Marengo 12-12-2014 03:10 AM

The VRT Een is broadcasting too on television though the live links are not working yet.

One of Fabiola's favourite pictures of her husband and herself is displayed in the cathedral: Live Center

According to the VTM reporters, Fabiola felt pity for Laurent and the relations wth him greatly improved after the wedding with Pss Claire.

I did not notice if the Royals of Bulgaria, Greece or Bulgaria were at the Funeral.

Duc_et_Pair 12-12-2014 03:22 AM

Is it me or are it all blabbermouths there in Belgium? The Confessor revealing private information to the press, the hairdresser revealing the wishes of the late Queen. I am used to Dutch, German and British broadcasts and there the information is really not that futile about the coiffure a deceased person has in the coffin...

 :ermm:

I really hope that the "turbo-blabbermouth" Jan van den Berghe (self-declared royal expert) will not give comment on VRT. I will then immediately switch to NOS (Netherlands) which is still uses to shut up when someone needs to be silent.

:flowers:

At this moment I see Queen Fabiola leaving the Royal Palace. During the whole event (except the Brabançonne playing) the comment is blabbing .... I would like them to stay silent and just let he images speak for themselves...

Donna Paola is an Italian of course and honouring the Spanish roots of Doña Fabiola. It is wonderful.

A bit of an OT: in RTL they referred to Lili and Amedeo as Prince and Princess Amedeo
