Mette-Marit's son enrolled in Asker
Crown Princess Mette-Marit has enrolled her six-year-old son Marius at a public elementary school in suburban Asker. The school is next to the royal residence where she and Crown Prince Haakon will soon live. Marius Borg Hoiby will have his first day at Jansloekka School on August 18, coincidentally the day before his mother's 30th birthday. For the first few months, Marius will be driven back and forth to school from the Oslo flat that King Harald bought for Haakon and Mette-Marit before they married in 2001. The royal residence in Asker, called "Skaugum," is undergoing renovations and won't be ready for Haakon, Mette-Marit and her son until early next year. In the meantime, Mette-Marit and Marius will live in the flat on Ullevaalsveien. Haakon will join them there in October when he finishes his year of studies at the London School of Economics. The principal at Jansloekka School, Arnt Joergen Nilsen, said he was pleased the royal family "has chosen to let Marius go to school in the neighborhood." He said he views Marius' attendance as "a challenge," and hopes "we can satisfy the wishes Marius and his parents have for the school." Even though Crown Prince Haakon and his sister, Princess Martha Louise, grew up in Asker, neither went to the local school. They were driven into Oslo, where they attended Smestad Elementary School. Aftenposten English Web Desk Nina Berglund/NTB Marius Borg Hoiby, shown here with his mother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, will go to the local school near the royal residence in Asker. London, 29.04.2003 Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Marius with friend plays football while Princess Märtha Louise gave birth. While Märtha Louise were giving birth, Mette-Marit, Marius and a friend were playing football in a park in London. On their way home to the appartment she had no idea that her sister in law were giving birth. "That was very exiting" she said, and Marius agreed |

Great pictures of Mette-Marit and Marius, Josefine! :flower:
Mette-Marit hasn't been in the news much lately what with being in London and occupied with her studies. |
;) Marius is used to already with the press and with cameras its evident because instead of hiding  or frowning, he even gave his most cheerful smile!
