June 20th - I love the skirt but not the top. The skirt has a very interesting design.

Oh dear, Letizia really knows how to ruin her outfits with her beloved little girl/size negative cardigans

The pale pink Varela dress has been repeated many times
La princesa repite Varela en su visita a la meca de la moda americana

Alondra 06-21-2012 05:04 AM

A trusted oldie. It still looks great.

LadyFinn 06-21-2012 05:08 AM

I think that the cardigan a good choice this time, it looks lovely and gives a soft and feminine touch to this outfit with an interesting skirt.

The skirt is from Mango.

The skirt is by Uterque (thanks to Foro Hispanico)

I love the combo, it's chic, trendy and simplistic. 100% Letizia's trade mark.

biboquinhas 06-21-2012 05:26 AM

So the skirt is from Mango or Urteque? It's so easy to dress elegant in a non expensive way...this skirt is 14,99€ in Mango...I love the way she looks, elegant, but simple...not too mucht ostentation, I just love it!:flowers:

An Ard Ri 06-21-2012 05:30 AM

I don't like the cardigan.

LadyFinn 06-21-2012 05:31 AM

Maybe the skirt is from Uterque, I just picked from this page that it is from Mango.
Letizia Ortiz elige una falda print animal de Mango para su visita a Nueva York | Galería 1 de 6 | Mujerhoy.com

Alondra 06-21-2012 05:34 AM

I'm unsure whether the skirt is by Mango or Urteque. Foro Hispanico gives it as Urteque.

Foro Hispanico de Opiniones sobre la Realeza: La falda es de Uteque

I agree it doesn't matter. Letizia loves the simplistic, elegant look on an affordable budget. I love it too :flowers:

biboquinhas 06-21-2012 05:49 AM

I think the skirt from Uterque is a bit too dark, but I can be mistake...the skirt from Mango will do the same look and we can buy it from the internet at the price of 14,99€, I will buy rigth now!!!:flowers::flowers: We don't need to buy Prada to look good :whistling:

sheikah deena 06-21-2012 05:55 AM

I don’t like the Outfit it’s Make her Looks slimmer than usual , nice shoes

4Pam 06-21-2012 09:24 AM

I really like what she's got on! She looks good!

Boris 06-21-2012 09:51 AM

Sorry, but I don't quite understand how an ugly monster snake cut into pieces and worn as a skirt (which is pulling up and creasing around the hips, too) can ever be regarded as elegant; the combination with one of her kiddie-sized cardigans doesn't help the matter at all.
It's a good thing she wore one of her most beautiful, sophisticated dresses for the start of the visit, because this odd combination is IMHO just unappealing.

Not sure what Prada has to do with it?:flowers: In any event, I suppose she doesn't need Prada necessarily, but she might pick a different top from someone else then;) I like her skirt but not the sweater with it.

Boris 06-21-2012 03:20 PM

That's one horrid pair of pants indeed... and the sandals look like something that might be seen during a holiday, but only when no-one's looking. Perfectly awful.
It's mind-boggling that Letizia chooses an outfit like this like this during an official visit abroad... and in Boston, not Hawaii.

Daria_S 06-21-2012 03:58 PM

That snake-print skirt is absolutely hideous, along with the pink pants. Not flattering at all .

Emmily 06-21-2012 04:17 PM

The pants are horrible! Skinny pants really don't look good on Letizia, and these have to be the worst fitting yet.:eek::eek:

cepe 06-21-2012 04:32 PM

Beyond words!

She is petite; a tiny frame which is only emphasised by wearing trousers. I know she can rock evening wear but she really needs to sort out her day wear for royal events. Skirt (straight) with short jackets would suit her so much. I'm thinking about the style of outfit Diana wore when in front of the Taj Mahal. I dont know much about Letizia but she doesn't seem to have a sense of occasion for daytime engagements.

Winnie 06-21-2012 04:38 PM

Not one of her best.

Thank goodness for that dress!
After the pink horror, the lovely cream dress is a welcome distraction.

Cinderella5x 06-21-2012 07:42 PM

I don't get it: sometimes she looks so stylish, elegant, pretty, everything matches, and sometimes she wears something only a blind person in a dark room would choose (not trying to offend anyone, it's just an expression). What's wrong here? I am sure she sees the difference between the lovely pink or cream dress and the weird pink plastic-like pants.

RaniaRocks 06-21-2012 07:48 PM

The print skirt with cardigan and the pinkish-red outfit of today are plain awful, she looks bad.

Frelinghighness 06-21-2012 09:30 PM

Cute white dress tonight looks on the mark from what I can see. Her Boston and NYC daytime outfits were really terrible.
The shiny red disco outfit with the white jacket and the awful snakeskin skirt with the cardigan looked thrown together.
I guess it's day wear vs. night. She should stay away from pants and cardigans, they emphasize her very thin figure, which looks much thinner to me.

IloveCP 06-21-2012 10:31 PM

Horrendous pink outfit! Glad she then wore that pretty white dress!

That's a rather nice dress repeat, but what a pity that she managed to mis-match even this with one of her dull cardigans, this time in ugly greige:

https://s16.postimage.org/bpqd36k0l/146652906.jpg

LadyFinn 06-22-2012 08:01 AM

She looked stunning in that beautiful white dress, the accessories look good too.
https://www.bekia.es/images/galeria/2...nt-harvard.jpg

The red pants were awful, white would have looked better. But they look good together still.
https://www.bekia.es/images/galeria/2...ad-harvard.jpg

biboquinhas 06-22-2012 09:34 AM

I hope they are not red pants because the blouse is pink..it is a Hugo Boss Blouse.
That print skirt is not from mango, I went to the store today and saw the Mango skirt and it is just horrible, it looks like a winter skirt a very rude material...

Off in some way? Of course the shoes are off, they're in her Daisy Duck style which always looks too chunky. When the pants are too short like they are here, it only exaggerates the point.
I have no idea why she keeps wearing this awkward, unflattering length of trousers. If they were regular (and if she could manage to not roll up the jacket sleeves...) this could be a nice enough professional look.
In some pics both colors of suit and blouse seem to have a touch of rosé which could be pretty, in others it's just two-tone greige which couldn't be half as pretty.

LadyFinn 06-22-2012 03:24 PM

Letizia likes Capri-pants, to me they are ok in the summer. The jacket is beautiful, as is the blouse,

While the evening outings were very polished, the daytime outfits were a big yuck!

I Think She Looks Pretty , I Like her Outfit , Nice Colours , But The Pants bit Short , But Overall She Looks Nice :flowers:

Baroness of Books 06-23-2012 09:42 PM

I like the color combination of the outfit and the shoes and bag, but the pants are too short with the heels. Either the length should have been longer, or she should have worn flats.

IloveCP 06-23-2012 10:49 PM

I like the top and jacket but not the pants. Personally, a skirt would have nice to me.

Princess Peach 06-23-2012 11:02 PM

I'm hoping her luggage went missing and she had to borrow these horrible clothes. ;)

I love this suit and glad she repeated it.

Artemisia 06-24-2012 01:14 PM

Letizia looks lovely.
The suit is very elegant, and I love the splash of colour she added with her blouse.

Baroness of Books 06-24-2012 01:17 PM

This is a nice repeat, but it must have been uncomfortable given the sweltering weather in the tri-state area.

IloveCP 06-24-2012 04:52 PM

Love that classic suit, she looks lovely.

An Ard Ri 06-24-2012 05:55 PM

A nice and elegant look, the Princess must have been very warm given the temperatures in NYC + NJ over the past week.

I am glad to see Letizia recycled this suit in the US - very classic and elegant and feminine.

Grandduchess24 06-24-2012 07:45 PM

I like this casual look. Letizia is shopping & it's not an official engagement so it doesn't seem too terrible IMO. :-)

Artemisia 06-27-2012 01:36 PM

What's wrong with the look?
I like the colour-combinations and while the boots aren't my cup of tea, they aren't horrid either.
She is clearly not on an official event, but on some private endeavour, trying (unsuccessfully) to go incognito.

When I was in Spain, that was a very typical look I sew on many of the women. I guess its the way they dress or a style they go for.
She doesn't look bad at all, I don't see it ugly. Its a very summery look and she does pull it off well but the pieces don't look nice IMO.

Boris 06-28-2012 05:25 PM

Sorry, but the multi-colored bold print is rather ghastly, IMO.
I find it bearable on the model as it looks better placed asymmetrically in the dress, but on Letizia, placed differently, it creates a kind of wide border on the skirt which doesn't make it any prettier.

ANNIE_S 06-28-2012 05:33 PM

They are two very different dresses.... the Letizia dress is a Hugo Boss dress from this summer sesson, https://cristinahh.files.wordpress.co...campaign-7.jpg I have seen it in the stores yesterday!

I didn't like the print on the dress, though the black blazer and shoes toned it down. And too bad she didn't wear a blazer this time with the slacks; it would have pulled the look together and she'd have been more in sync with Felipe who was wearing a jacket.

It's like saying every print dress is similar.

I like the printed dress. It looks good on her.
