It probably was a themed wedding, aka a costume ball. :)

Yes, those "new" themed weddings are odd. Neighbor went to one and "had" to rent a very expensive "prom type dress" and he a 1950 white jacket tux! Not really easy trick to locate. Were actually informed not to attend [by best-man or maid of honor] if they wouldn't please the wedding couple in this requirement. Me, I would have told them I couldn't make it. That is just as bad as being invited to a niece's wedding being held in Caribbean while both sides of the families and friends live in New Jersey/New York area. What ever happened to the local family church and upscale country club for reception and dressing nicely for the occasion!

Destination Weddings are becoming very popular. It is rather expensive to attend because one has to pay for airfare, hotel and outfit (some you cannot wear anywhere else) in addition to the wedding present.

Letizia attends a dinner as patron of STELA, an organization that help folks with Downs Syndrome with entrepeneurship.

Very average outfit, nothing special. Her beauty sells the whole thing.

That's an interesting top but, not my taste.I like the classic black pants and jacket.

I Think Princess Letizia She Looks Beautiful , The Outfit Simple Classic Nice .

4Pam 04-11-2012 10:54 PM

Very classy and elegant.

It's true that her beauty elevates a nice but non-descript outfit. I really like her earrings and the blouse is quite pretty.

Daria_S 04-12-2012 12:02 AM

I like this look, even with the weird top. She looks very classy.

almee 04-12-2012 01:59 AM

Like this look. Its very basic but still elegant & classy. She looks absolutely beautiful-loving her makeup & hair!

The other guests look pretty normal to me, yet un-coordinated. It didnt look like a themed wedding, thats for sure.

For me its actually a very good look for Letizia: sleek hair, creole earrings, elegant suit, I even like the top. Very classy to me compared to so many other evening outfits she had, ridiculous with miniskirts, tights & double platform shoes.

Correct! She looks like a gladiator who just won the fight.
Pitty! The head part is stunning.

If the skirt was longer, it would almost resemble "roaring 20's". Not certain if it suits Letizia though. Her hair also looks slightly odd. Maybe the photograph is unclear.

I like this suit, nice cut. I'm glad that Letizia opted for something simple but elegant in clothes but also in her hair and make-up.

LadyFinn 04-12-2012 11:36 AM

Great outfit yesterday evening. Classic suit with a beautiful and interesting top, nice shoes and good purse. She had a wonderful make up and great sleek hair. And the warmth she showed crowned the whole look.

It's very definitely a good look for her! Love her hair.

udyusa 04-12-2012 03:07 PM

I think she looks wonderful in this very classic black and white. I think the top gives it a dressier appearance with it's sheen and pattern. I like it!

Frelinghighness 04-12-2012 10:13 PM

She looked really wonderful in the black and white. The white blouse with it's sheen and pattern of shininess added some "weight" to her in a very nice way. So did the large earrings, two things which really filled her out a little imo to add to her real beauty:flowers:

Grandduchess24 04-12-2012 10:42 PM

the princess of asturias looks so nice in the classy suit and her hair looks nice.
