No, but married to his grandson the current Earl Mountbatten of Burma. He was Lord Romsey at the time of the christening.

Lovely pics thanks.
Nevertheless some if the dates are not correct.
Engagement took place January 1963 and not March 1964. They were asked to wait for the marriage to AM was 18 but they were 1.5 y engaged.
King Paul died March 1964, so after this date Kostantine Is King and not CP anymore. So some captions are wrong.

"On Dhekelia , Attica a wider area, which includes and the area of today's Tatoi is the Tomb of Sophocles the Tragic Poet.

In 1958-59, Princesses Sofiia and Eirini, under the guidance of archaeologist Theofanos Arvanitopoulou, conducting systematic excavations in this forgotten archaeological site, managed to collect the scattered ancient finds.

Ιn this area there is a sign with the timeline of the excavation of the mound. Although it is worn by time and slightly rusty, its text remains legible: "It was excavated in 1958 by the then Greek princesses Sofia and Eirini and their archeological teacher Theofano Arvanitopoulou. It is a large family burial precinct, of classical times, enclosed by an artificial mound. The tomb was originally 13 m high. It contained four marble sarcophagi with a gable cover, three in the center and one further south ".

Seeing this it seems there's a striking resemblance between Irene and her great-niece Infanta Sofia.

21 May today is the name day of the King and back to 1966 King Konstantinos goes to Nafplio, where he attends the events to celebrate his name day.

With him the Queen Anna Maria, the little Princess Alexia and Princess Eirini.
