Troonopvolgers!: Victoria + Mary in Londen.

I don't like the stiffness of this outfit. Too cramp. Is that makes sense. :flowers:

Primrose28 06-18-2009 01:40 PM

It does look nicely fitted though---a very neutral and "safe" outfit, a classic.

magnik 06-18-2009 02:49 PM

It's nice outfit but it smells a little bit of Princess Caroline.

marmi 06-18-2009 04:34 PM

It is a more formal or safe outfit, one of the ones which makes her look older, but they are necessary for some occassions. I really like the colour of it, and I hope she recycles the jacket with other pants (prob white or cream, but black would be ok)

MelinaB. 06-21-2009 05:46 PM

I really loved this suit. Its color is soft and makes CP Victoria look so sweet.

Turkish Delight 06-22-2009 08:58 AM

What a lovely suit! The color is great.

I don't like this outfit. Shoes are even nice but I'm not sure if the're for her.
Victoria looks simply normal. Her legs looks different than normal.

I have to agree that is not one of Victorias best outfits.
Baggy clothes don't suit Victoria. Nice hair though.

Turkish Delight 06-23-2009 03:26 PM

I don't like the outfit, either. She looks normal.

ANNIE_S 06-23-2009 05:57 PM

I don´t like her outfit. It´s too casual. I think I wouldn´t like it even for a casual event.:nonono:
Nice shoes, though.

sgl 06-23-2009 08:06 PM

I agree with everyone else. The dress is okay, but I'm not fond of the sheer look. The print is nice, but I don't care for the fabric.

The shoes are trendy, but the outfit is just and only casual outfit for the beach or for going out to the cinema or for a drink...
The other day she was wearing a nice but yet very formal suit, too formal even for the church, I 'd say...

Victoria has to find the balance between extreme casual and extreme formal !!!

At first glance, I didn't care for this dress. The print is kind of loud. However, the shape of the dress is nice, and the shoes are lovely.

Adamari 07-01-2009 12:59 PM

I absolutely love this dress. The tribal print lends a striking graphic element to what could have otherwise been a boring dress. It's important for royalty to stand out in a crowd and this dress helps Victoria do that.

Turkish Delight 07-01-2009 01:40 PM

I love the shape of dress. The color is nice. The shoes looks lovely.

magnik 07-01-2009 02:10 PM

I have a problem. What can I say?
I like this black&white dress. But...
I don't like Victoria in this dress.
That's not dress for her. Too big white stripe as for her.
And I would do soemthing with sleeves.
I don't like her hairdo with this dress.
Victoria looks very muscular and big in this dress. Specially her arms.

really? It does so not worth it!

sgl 07-04-2009 04:42 PM

I am also surprised that it is Oscar de la Renta. It doesn't look like his typical creations. The print is just so loud on the dress. I don't care for it on the model either.

The black and white dress looks awful on Victoria but the print dress looks very nice. Shame about the shoes, a clearer change would have been nice. :flowers:

Boris 07-04-2009 06:06 PM

I'm afraid I don't like any of the three dresses worn in London.
The multicolored print dress is quite some psychotic nightmare, and the dark blue & white embroidered Oscar de la Renta makes her look like a Thai cocktail waitress from a posh holiday resort.
That leaves the black & white Diane von Furstenberg chiffon number as the best... but this one is just not her. Somehow it doesn't suit her at all.
Seems to me that CP Victoria is currently on a (very expensive) search for her own style, but so far there is next to no consistency and no personal touch in her choices.

ZUBIAUR 07-05-2009 11:46 AM

I dislike the three dresses too:nonono:

I like the color and neckline of the dress, but I'm not wild about the dropped-waist with the baggy top part. I think that it would have looked nicer if it was more fitted. The bracelets and earrings that she is wearing are very pretty.

The lavender is great on Victoria, but the cut of the two-piece doesn't do anything for her.
The top is too shapeless, and the skirt's hemline is hanging in the front and rising in the back - obviously not fitted on her.
Dresses are in general much better for her than two-pieces, but I hope she might take notice that this color suits her particularly well.

emmeleia 07-15-2009 07:45 AM

Indeed the lavender colour is great on Victoria.

I do agree with you! One of three pieces has to go - I'd like to leave shoes (they are great and the colour is bright) and clutch. The dress looks better with the belt - but it is too much for one outfit

marmi 08-19-2009 03:17 AM

I almost feel that the fit or cut of the white dress could be better. The idea was right though.
Some of the pics show her hair as not being secured properly or not being a neat tidy style, which I feel would have been a vast improvement; but she did wear it up, which I liked.
I love the way the purple contrasts. The shoes are stunning!

I think the black and white outfit looks more elegant with the scarf. It's amazing how much a simple scarf can change the whole look of an outfit. The white jacket is very nice too.

sgl 08-23-2009 05:28 PM

I really like this black and white outfit. The scarf gives it a more elegant look. I really like the way that she has wrapped the scarf around her neck. It lays nicely against her shirt. The bag is very lovely. The round detail on the handle makes it look interesting and slightly retro.

I really like the dress. Red is a color that suits Victoria's complexion, IMO. I don't care for the belt. It reminds me of a weightlifter's belt. I think that the dress would have looked nicer with a different belt. I also agree about the necklace. It looks a bit out of place.

The jacket and the scarf are beautiful, I like this casual outfit quite much.

Boris 08-30-2009 01:27 PM

IMO, the jacket and scarf combination is far too old-fashioned in style for Victoria; actually, it's exactly the kind of outfit frequently worn by her mother Queen Silvia these days for 'lesser' events on the schedule.
The only nice thing about it is the color of the (rather too small) jacket, which suits her very well.

magnik 08-30-2009 02:06 PM

After last great outfits I'm little bit disappointed by her choice this time...
But the colours are ok.

rsfc149 08-30-2009 02:15 PM

I think the jacket is perfect for her. Of course it's a bit old-fashioned, but she isn't 20 any more. And I really love bright colours on her like the pink dress she wore on her friend's marriage lately.

sgl 08-30-2009 03:47 PM

I love the color of this jacket. It looks really nice on Victoria. I don't care for the shirt underneath. I do like the longer shirt shorter jacket combo, but I think this would have looked nicer if the shirt was more fitted.

xavi83 08-30-2009 03:57 PM

dazzling 08-30-2009 03:59 PM

The jacket is lovely so is the color, its quite young and fresh, it looked really nice with the lookse silk top underneth and the black pants.
The scarf looked too old for victoria and as Boris mentioned its a look that is seen by her mother quite abit.
Overall this is really nice.

ANNIE_S 08-30-2009 04:12 PM

The jacket is very nice, it has a lovely colour. But I don´t like the scarf with it.

MelinaB. 08-30-2009 04:32 PM

I like red & white on Victoria, she has the right complexion to carry it out.
What I don't like about that jacket is its huge sleeves, otherwise it would be nice.

Dierna23 08-30-2009 05:08 PM

I must confess, I really like this outfit. The colour is very pretty on her, the jacket is nice, the scarf also.

princess gertrude 08-30-2009 07:54 PM

I love the color of the jacket on her and I loved the print on the scarf but I don't like them the way she put them together. I looks like she doesn't have a neck, the scarf would have looked better if she put it under the collar of the jack and tied it just under the first button on the jacket or even not tied it at all. And I do agree that if you are going to do a longer shirt with a shorter jacket the shirt needs to be fitted closer to the body. Her hair looks lovely.
