But I always pronounced Edward Said's last name, Sayid. I guess I was wrong all those years.:biggrin: But I'm glad to know my Prof.'s never dinged me for it when I studied Said's work as well as other key people in Middle Eastern history such as Ibn Darraj, Abu 'I-Hasan, and al Mansur.

I like the name Hamdan and everything else having to do with Hamdan!
