I dont know about Carl Philip... hmm, anyone?

I would add E-Type who seems to be big among several members of the family as well and who played for Victoria´s birthday party as well.

This is used very very often at occasions, but without the lyrics.

Lyrics:

Jag står och tittar ut
Över landet där vi bor
Där förfäder offrade
Floder av vårat blod

Den forna tidens dagar
Vi lämnat bakom oss
Sverige mitt arv
För sverige ska jag slåss

Under blågul fana
För vårt fosterland
Under blågulfana
Öga för öga
Öand för tand

Vi ska skydda våra seder
Våran ras och vår nation
Ingen ska besegra moder sveas pluton
Vår fana ska vaja
För vårt blod och vår ära
Vapen ska vi med stolthet bära

Under blågul fana
För vårt fosterland
Under blågulfana
Öga för öga
Tand för tand

Gröna skogar
Himmel blå
Och djupa hav
Ett välbevarat arv
Som våra förfäder oss gav
Den marken som vi trampar
Ska barnen en dag ärva
Dom ska minnas och hedra dom djärva

Under blågul fana
För vårt fosterland
Under blågulfana
Öga för öga
Tand för tand

Interesting!
I never seen lyrics to this march before... but actually I doupt it (the text) has anything to do with the march "Under blågul fana" by Victor Widquist.
Mainly because "Under blågul fana" is a military march, always played by a military band and never sung, and its the "Army marching salute" of the Royal Swedish Armed Forces... Google Översätt

and I doupt it basicly because its impossible to sing the lyrics to the march
Beleve me, I tried! Try it for yourself: YouTube - Arméns Musikkår 2009 - Under blågul fana

!!! LATHER: now Ive done som research on the web and found this text on several xenophobic sites, like "white aggression" and stuff like that.... and that´s the sort of guys the Armed Forces of Sweden try to avoid (and the rest of us too), so the text above has nothing to do with the military marsch by Victor Widqvist!! And the text has nothing to do with the royal house of Sweden nor the Armed Forces of Sweden!! And if you read the text closely you will find it nationalistic and quite unpleasant " vi ska skydda våra seder, våran ras och nation" " we must protect our customs, our race and nation"

My goodness! This thread is awesome! I've been hoping for it to be something like this.

Of course. One of the well known examples of royal music, not made BY royals but FOR them, is Johan Helmich Roman, who was a student of Händel. Perhaps the most famous piece is Drottningholmsmusiken. Music written for the wedding between Adolf Fredrik and Lovisa Ulrika. In my opinion Roman wrote great baroque music. You can find the handwritten sheet music of Drottningholmsmusiken here: https://www.muslib.se/ebibliotek/roma...d&volymid=Ro+2

Check out other things as well. Youtube it or browse his works on spotify.

I didn't know until recently that Studentsången was written by Prince Gustav. It's actually a great choral piece.

He has also written "Glad såsom fågeln" which is often sung by the Valborg student choirs, as well as other musical compositions. His sister Eugénie have also written several musical compositions.

I know! And think these choral pieces are some of Swedens finest treasures in music, sångskatter. That lives on today

I also found some music by Princess Eugénie, Prince Gustaf's sister.

There's an album recorded and I saw that it was on on Spotify!

Drottningholmsmusiken was composed by Johan Helmich Roman and premiered at Drottningholm Palace in connection with the wedding between Adolf Fredrik and Lovisa Ulrika of Prussia in 1744. Drottningholmsmusiken consists of 33 movements, here the first is performed by Drottningholms Barockensemble.
