I am searching for information on this man whom I believe to be my descendant from Lisbon, Portugal.
I also believe his name to be Joseph Elephon or Elefon De-Sylva (Sylva).
I have been told we also have a family crest but am not to sure.
If this man is my descendant, I am his fifth generation grandchild.
My name is Gianni De-Sylva (Sylva).
I only photo's of Joseph Elephon or Elefon De-Sylva (Sylva), & his two son's born of New Zealand decent, being the beginning of my family line.
I am not sure if any of this makes much sense, I myself get a little confused which is why I am posting this discussion.
