What do you like about MM?
I have always been fascinated by her. Somehow her story has been a true Cinderella Story.
She really changed. Her development was one of the most fascinating ones.
She and Haakon are such a cute couple.

At first, I noticed people criticized her a lot. Then I started paying attention to her, and that's when I began to like her a lot! Things I like about her:
- She is a good mother to her children and a great support to her husband
- She gets along well with her in-laws
- She and her husband "look in the same direction"
- She looks and acts simple and "down to earth", from clothes, makeup, etc (she's not a fashion victim!), to the way she carries herself
- She works hard, and she undertook studies which will surely help her in her job
- She is almost always smiling!

I don't know. She just seems like a really nice and genuine person.

Moreover when the press brutally revealed elements of her past (wrongfully and ashamedly reduced her to tears) it became apparent that she espoused and espouses moral values combined with religious faith and the importance and maintenance of family held above all else.
In addition Kronprinsess Mette- Marit has continued to live within the same dignified manor, as a result the Norwegian People and International affiliates respect and like her.

She's a genuinely good person. I can see that. She loves her husband and children and seems to be devoted to them.

She is a simple person, with a big heart and soul.

Whatever the reason I admire and love Mette-Meri, from the first time I saw her and Hakkon when she appeared on the news. Her spontanity and, beauty, make her exceptional and different to other Royals.

Simply Amazing
I'll readily admit, she's not a glamour girl (like Crown Princess Mary), nor possessed of a vibrant personality (like Princess Maxima) and God knows she's hardly the brightest bulb in the box (like Crown Princess Masako), but Crown Princess Mette-Marit has some very enduring qualities. She is genuine in her relationships (with her family, friends and others); she makes genuine efforts to be informed and to raise awareness/support for her charitable pursuits; she's not a prima donna (as I suspect Princess Marie-Chantal is) and as a common -in every since of the word- woman plucked from obscurity, she has worked hard, oftentimes in the face of tremendous scrutiny, to redeem herself and her past in the eyes of the Norwegian people and show them, via her self-less, unyielding work to their well-being, that their trust in her as their future queen was not misplaced. For this, I continue to hold this woman in high esteem.

I like the fact that she has succeeded when everything was stacked against her. A potential wife of a future King who is a commoner, has a fully blemished past including a toddler born out of wedlock whose father went to jail! Dang the Brother's Grimm would be rolling in their graves. But she has done so well and carried herself extremely well being very helpful to her husband, her in laws, and her country.
