In recent lineage research I have seen that the Roy family name goes back to Saint-Malo, the Bretagne town in Western France. I have made a preemptive connection to Henri son of Robert Courthouse and Grandson to William the Conqueror. I have no definitive evidence for this connection but it makes a logical choice to me as the Roy supposedly goes back to Scandinavia lineage. In the USA the Roy (Roi) name has changed to King. What has your research turned up? I would like to hear some things that others have found.
