With masks becoming mandatory or strongly advised in more and more places, we see more and more royals with their preferred version of the mask.

Letizia mostly sticks to the surgical disposable version.

Mathilde had some made in the same fabric as her dresses.

My football mask arrived today :) . I've been wearing the disposable ones until now, but they aren't very nice!

Princess Hisako's masks were made by Bird Conservation Society of Thailand featuring art by Ayuwat Artworks.

Helmeted Hornbill and Spoon-billed Sandpiper

Photos:

BCST is one of the partners of Birdlife International. Hisako is honorary president of it. Fitting that she would be wearing one of their masks.

I like a number of royals have chosen masks that donate back to charity.

I love how Mathilde has hers made to March her dresses. It's just so very Mathilde.

I see Charlene seems to be wearing one with a valve. IMHO they should be banned as they only protect the wearer but are still breathing their germs on everybody else.

About half of them:

Surgical:
Guillaume
Henri
Louis
Sébastien
Claire

Non-surgical:
Stéphanie
Maria Teresa
Félix
Amalia

I was going to say it was men surgical, women non-surgical but Félix and Claire went the opposite way.

Catherine’s Amaia Kids collection.
Are these children’s masks? They always seem on the small side at the sides on her face.

Given that it's from Amaia kids that has the following tag line on Instagram, I think you're right:

Amaia Kids
Chic and refined yet easy to wear clothes for lively and happy children
 London based Made in Spain

They have both a child and an adult collection of masks.

Their website states 'High demand on masks, please allow 3 weeks for your order to be fulfilled'. I wonder whether they recently needed to put that on their website or that it appeared even before Catherine was known to wear their facemasks.

I love it. Her ensemble is lovely and many would have expected a bow at the neck or an open collar. Instead she let that awesome mask do the talking. What a terrific fashion statement.

You got this right. Masks can be so cool but they should engage different styling choices. She's great!
