I oppose lace but this one is good, not too much (somehow remind me Maxima's gown).

The first one would be a perfect royal wedding gown if adding some embroidery or ornamentation like the second one.
Love this one but I fail to imagine what it would look like if it has to cover the shoulder.

Don't like any of those gowns. She could go for something a bit more like cream or a very pale pastel, rater than white.. and she'd need to have her shoulder and arms covered...

I like this dress. It’s simple yet elegant, not fussy. It meets protocol for a royal wedding.

I like that one, but I think it'll be a different neck line. This style would work really well with a little bit more embellishment.

Honestly, I think we can rule out pastel. Victoria Arbiter was asked about this in an interview about whether she thinks it'll be a white dress considering it's the bride's second wedding. Her answer was perfect. What she said was that we are past the point of where second time brides wearing white is frowned up and it'll actually become more of a prominent issue if she wears something other than white. It'll be a white or slight off white gown, especially certain of this after the engagement photocall. And judging by the coat she wore during the photocall, white will look great on her.

did she? I'm afraid that although I tried to watch it all, I just wasn't very taken with the interview and only listened to ab it of it. I cant' remember what she wore at all.
It is quite cold by now, so I'm surprised she didn't wear any stockings, besides whicih I tink that in winter it doesn't look very good...

Americans generally don't wear those heavy tights you Europeans seem fascinated with! Here we think that doesn't look so good! :D

She was in New York once during NYFW in winter. Wore s skirt and no stocking or leggings. I do think we will at some point see her with thick leggings is she’s wearing a short with short booties. However, I don’t know if she’ll be wearing sheer stockings regularly.

It will be interesting to see if Meghan succumbs to the pressure to wear hose or not. I haven't seen a woman below the retirement age wear skin-colored hose around here in I don't know how long, no matter what time of year. As someone else pointed out, once you try going bare-legged you realize that thin layer of material did nothing to keep out the cold! And now that I see hose so rarely, it looks really gross to me. It's so strange to see Kate wear them, like her legs have some odd skin condition or something. It's not at all attractive!

Meh, I don't know how much pressure there really is. It doesn't seem to be a big deal that she didn't, and anyone that mentioned it seems to mention it in a positive way.

Love that dress, but I think that the back may be a bit much for the pearl clutchers . If the back was to be brought up about 5 inc. that would be great.

And as American I would like to see a Bit of Bling on that dress, not much just a touch. I really hope that being that harry is so far down in the line now, that she could do without the lace. Sorry not a fan of Lace. And if she has to have it maybe a bit in her veil on some on the train of the dress. But this dress is great. However if they marry in the spring, the long sleeves is a ?????

OMG, I can't stand those tights, Sorry. I go bare leg until the late fall. usually around right before Thanksgiving. & as a Black Woman, I don't have to worry about Pale legs, just a bit of lotion & I am ready to go:lol:. When the bad weather comes, it is Panty Hoes, & the Sheer ones ( Off Black or Coffee)

Speaking of veil. I LOVED Pippa's veil. The sheerness of it, but just enough.

I wear 40 dernier tights in black most days because I like wearing dresses to work and would be too cold on my commute without them. Not in summer of course, then I go bare legged. I did go through a phase for a few years of wearing fishnets. My American husband loves me to wear black shiny tights.

All I hope for is that Meghan's dress is befitting of a senior royal bride. Some of these gowns people have posted are pretty but not enough, imo. I think the Pronovias one with sleeves was very nice - but needs a longer train and more substantial fabric, etc..

It sure is! Didn’t someone say Strathmore Rose?

I just can't see her wearing that...it doesn't seem to match her known style preference for a wedding dress or other clothing.

Dresses being posted that are a bit revealing, I think everyone realizes those parts (too low, too sheer etc) would have to be designed differently.

Yea, she really doesn't do a lot of frill. I'd be surprised if I see anything other than a fitted top.

I can’t help it..I just like that tiara. I’d probably recommend it as a headband with a sweatshirt

Missjersey don't you know anything...a girl wears her everyday tiara with her sweatpants!! LOL

Yeah I'm not expecting any loose peasant/gypsy style top. I don't expect a mermaid or a trumpet on the bottom either.

Ok guys not sure if I did this right cause me and technology. LOL!

Anyway if this did work here is a style of dress I thought might be nice. (Don't laugh, it's from Brenda 's wedding on General Hospital. Well one of her many weddings! )

Anyway what I like about it, is that it is simple, without a lot of fussy going on, while still looking somewhat grand. The part I really love is the top with the cap sleeves, and a slight scoop neck. Demure without being completely covered up. I'm a sucker, for cute little cap sleeves. I think Meghan could look nice in something like this.

And I have to say, wearing skirts is still seen as smart and put together by older women. Younger women seem to like showing of their good legs . So thankfully, hose aren’t going anywhere in my part of the world.

This reminds me of something that happened to me recently. I wear lots of skirts and dresses to work. I am not required to, but I love them. On my lunch break one day as I was walking into the restaurant where I was eating, an older man was coming out and he said to me, "It is so nice to see a woman in a dress this day and age." ?

Two times in your life that you can venture out, and usually do, from your usual box. Prom and your wedding. I am a total tomboy, but wore a total princess ball gown for my grad gown.

I honestly think vintage, even a downton abbey feel would work for her. A more streamline look with a vintage feel. She can have adornment, and even a bit of lace, without looking all frilly. I would love to see her do the opposite of Charlene, a tiara without a veil (instead of veil without tiara). It would suit the feel as well. Very that time period to have a fancy headdress.

Something along the lines of these, modest and streamline but with a great vintage twist. Maybe a different color. Some would be great without veil.

Or someone mentioned Stella McCartney.

This even with a jeweled belt or something added for extra interest. Second photo is back

I absolutely love the first one and the last one. On the last one, I wonder if backless dresses are allowed in St. George's Chapel?

Brenda & Jax( I loved that coupel). I is a nice dress, but it looks too young for Meghan.

What I mean( Meghan is not old ) but that kind of gown is dated & that dress type just doesn't seem stylish enough for Meghan. I just see Meghan in something more Elegant, Classy & more Royal.

But I did love that dress on Vaness( Brenda) at that time.

I meant the Eli’s Saab dress Pranter. Boy these dresses that are being posted have me sitting here saying ah and ooh every other second. Meghan has some tough choice ahead

A couple nights ago, before the venue was announced, I went through the latest collections available at theknot.com and came up with a list of around 3 dozen potential dresses/inspiration. I let the list stew for a couple of days for a variety of reasons. Now, I know that many of these designers aren't Brit (some are), but these are the general directions in which I think 1) Meghan is likely to go and 2) could work well in St George's Chapel. There is a wide range here - and I have to say that some of my faves on this list are from Temperley (who is British and I'd be thrilled if Meghan went to her).

Obviously some show far more skin than would be appropriate for a royal wedding (or most weddings, IMO) but any good designer can take these inspirations and design something truly wonderful for Meghan.

I enjoyed looking at those SO MUCH!!! It was wedding dress heaven! My favorites are the ones I boldfaced. My absolute favorite is the first one by Michal Medina and 2nd place is the one my Sottero& Midgley.

Not just a matter of skin but specific skin. They aren't required to have sleeves, but they do need to have covered shoulders.

I don't see her going for the Bohemian look. Way to use lace or beading, without going to flowly and flower child. Someone posted a pic of Beatrice Borromeo's Armani gown, something like that would be perfect. Beatrice ran the gauntlet, from boho to Armani in her five dresses. If Meghan went with a similar style, IMO, she would learn far more towards the Armani.

A few British designers. I'd love her to choose a designer perhaps Kate hasn't worn, or not often. Showcase a different designer.

Much simpler styles could be dressed up with accessories, like a jeweled belt or such.

Still would love to see a more vintage feel.

I really love these two from your list:

Yes, I never, ever wear pantyhose. In the winter it is not uncommon for me to wear wool pencil skirt, blazer, and blouse with heels and bare legs.

I always thought it would be lovely if Meghan and Harry had a winter wedding and she could have worn a lovely coatdress with fur. And carry deep blood-red roses. But that was more me than Meghan, methinks!

I don't think she'll wear a veil. I think the dress will be plain and classic rather than a big lacy meringue.

I didn't like Kate's dress (though of course she has the full right to wear whatever she likes!) I am looking forward to seeing Meghan's dress; from all the pictures I've seen, I believe she has very good taste.

My favourite royal dress was Lady Davina Lewis née Windsor, but I cannot see Meghan in anything like that.
