Co-ordinating Royal Couples
I recently noticed how often the attire of royal couples are often co-ordinated; often it is the man's tie that highlights or picks up the colour in something of the woman's attire. But sometimes it happens within families, too, such as was the recent case of Prince Felipe's red tie to his mother, Queen Sofia's red suit at this year's Easter services.

in the case of Felipe and Letizia you can find so many pictures of them with matching outfits
in these set of pix you notice that felipe's ties goes with letizia's dresses

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh are so rarely co-ordinated that I think the rare examples are pure casuality (besides the rainproof coat).
Here's also a co-ordination with Charles.

1-Haakon's tie has navy blue in it and Mette-Marit's dress is navy blue

In the first post, Alexandria posted about this year's Easter Mass, where Felipe's tie matched Queen Sofia's outfit.
But King Juan Carlo's tie, also matched Letizia's, see below:
*This happened as well at King Juan Carlos' Onomastica Last year
