My ancestress Princess Saliha Sultan, a daughter of Mahmud II., was born in 1811 in Topkapi Sarayi.
She married in 1834, an officer (gürcü halil rifat pasha).
He was of Georgian origin.
They got together three children, two boy's who died as Baby's and one Girl, who survived.
Saliha, died young in 1843 of tuberculosis.
Her daughter Ayshe Siddika Hanimsultan then married Server Pasha and had three daughters.
Her oldest daughter Ayshe married Saffet Pasha.
Her second daughter Azize married then later Suad Bey and got three children, whom one of them was the late Nurizade Ziya Songülen, founder of the Turkish-soccer club: Fenerbahce.!!!

I'm interested in Ottoman genealogy, but their ancestors.
I can hardly find any sources on the ancestors of Osman.
Who are ancestors to the empire, from Osman and his father, grandfather?
Are they related to any prophets?

The Ottoman dynasty is really interesting specially when it comes to relationships between the Sultan`s & their women. I watched recently the Turkish series "Muhteşem Yüzyıl" or The Magnificent Century in English. It is a historical fiction television series based on the story of Kanuni Sultan Suleyman (Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent), the longest reigning Sultan of the Ottoman Empire, and his wife Hürrem Sultan, a slave girl who married him & became Sultana.

The title & role of Caliph was the goal and ambition sought by many,if not all, Muslim leaders since the era of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him & until the time of the Great Arab Revolt, led by Sharif Hussein Bin Ali a century ago. The Ottomans took it from the Fatimids due to the weakness of their predecessors from the Ayyubid dynasty and Mamluks who succeeded the Fatimids & ruled their lands.

Want to know if I'm apart of this
Hi! I'm not sure if anyone could help me, but I want help finding out if I'm apart of the Ottoman descendants. I don't have much information to go off, especially since I'm don't have a Turkish name, other than my last name being a hint. I don't have a Turkish name because my father liked the sound of my name when he heard it in Great Britain while visiting his family. And he doesn't have one either because his mother had the way in making him, only allowing him to take on his father's last name. I know that his Father came from the middle easten region and I know that he's partly Saudi Arabian, don't know if it's from his father though.
My name is Rein I Bey (soon having a name change). I was born NY in America in 1999.
My father's name is Howard John Malcolm I Bey. He was born in Jamaica in 1967. His parents meet there and had children.
His father died around 1976-1978.
My father and grandfather have made a big emphasis on passing on the family last name.
Is there anybody in the list of known descendants who could be related to me in anyway b based off this?

Eeh, forgive me for being a little skeptical.
So far you have claimed to be a descendant of no less than five ruling lines.
Considering the intermarriages between the various dynasties over the centuries there must be hundreds like you, scattered all over the world.
(Please do not PM me.)
