Ancestry of Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester

For years I couldn't find anything about her ancestry and suddenly while googling,I discovered that former Birgitte Eva van Deurs, now Duchess of Gloucester has descended from many great Danish and German noble families such as Rantzau, Ahlefeldt, Reventlow, Brockdorff, von Levetzow, von Oertzen, von Rumohr, von Pogwisch, von Blome, von Gähler etc.

In fact, her maternal great-great grandmother Elise Louise Dorothea von Müller(1822-1901), daughter of Frederik Gotthold von Müller and Marie Caroline Ferdinanda Augusta von Gähler, has descended from all these great families.

So,after all she has some noble blood in veins.

Thanks ever so much for all of your photos of just about everything! I'm still learning who's who and who belongs where. My one fault with the wedding was the smile less bride. Surely she could have managed one smile.

Interesting article about Birgitte's relative:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christ...on_G%C3%A4hler

She was sister in law of Birgitte Eva's ancestor and many times grandfather, Sigismund Wilhelm von Gähler:

He was Oberpräsident of Altona.

Who are/were the siblings of The Duchess of Gloucester? On the BRF site she is described as "the younger daughter".

I have seen this also in some articles about her. But there are no info about her sibling or siblings. Furthermore, there are no info if she maybe has half-siblings...

If anyone can find anything, it would be interesting to know.
