Most beautiful:

1 - Mary of Denmark
2 - Maxima of the Netherlands
3 - Mathilde of Belgium (special, but still beautiful!)

Most beautiful:
Princess Grace-the ultimate fairy tale princess
Fabiola of Belgium-the veil especially
Mary of Denmark-sophisticated and elegant
Anne-Marie of Denmark-fresh, young, and the sleeve length was perfect

Worst:
Mabel of Oranje (too many bows!)
Diana of Wales (adored her but the dress was too crinkly and crumply for me )
Infanta Elena of Spain (but she made up for it with some really fab outfits in the following years)

My favorites (of the last years)

1. Archduchess Catharina of Austria
2. princess Tatiana of Liechtenstein
3. princess Mathilde of Belgium

I also liked the gowns of Marie zu Wied, princess Claire, princess Mette-Marit and princess Mary very very much.

My favorites:

1. Princess Margaret
2. Queen Fabiola
3. Princess Grace
4. Princess Maxima (Her veil was my second favorite, after Princess Margaret's)

best wedding dresses in Royal!

Crown Princess Maxima of Netherlands because she have beautiful veil
Crown Princess Mathilde of Belguim because her dresses very lovely
Countess Sophie of Wessex because her wedding looks fab have cuts dresses than Royals woman! her designer said.
Diana,Princess of Wales because her fab wedding dresses please dont hates her wedding dresses because she chose Emmauels in 1981 when she got married to Prince Charles in 1981 but Diana plans display at her childhood in Althorp.

Worst dresses Royals
Mabel of Orange because im not dislike her BOWS on dresses! no way its stinks!

I didn’t like the dress of Princess Mabel. As people have said, there were just too many bows. I also really didn’t like CP Mette-Marit’s dress either. It was okay but I didn’t like the colour or the material it was made of.

I liked CP Maxima’s dress although I didn’t like the neck-line.
I liked CP Mathilde’s dress but I didn’t like the collar-thing but other than that she looked very beautiful.
Princess Claire’s dress was very lovely. It was simple and very elegant.
I loved CP Mary’s dress.

I think most of the dresses were very beautiful but I think the most perfect wedding dress was Grace Kelly’s. That is my most favourite wedding dress out of everyone’s.

Alexandria, our lists are almost identical!

I think that Margrethe of Denmark was simply stunning as well. She was radiant. Her gown was simple but elegant. The lace panel on the front of the gown was beautifully placed. The neckline of the gown was perfect for her statuesque figure and I loved the added touch of the daisy diamond brooch on the bodice of the gown. The placement of her tiara and veil were also just perfect. Overall she looked very fresh and so very young...and happy!

Cristina of Spain looked marvelous on her big day. She was so serene and elegant. Her gown was -- to me at least -- the epitome of modern elegance. It was simple in many ways but appropriately grand for the daughter of a king. Simple clean lines and beautiful fabric. Her mantilla and tiara were exquisite. She was a glowing bride.

Alexandra of Berleberg's mikado silk (it was, wasn't it???) gown was very graceful, pretty and different. I thought it suited her very nicely. Her hair looked wonderful and I thought the placement of her tiara and veil were lovely. Overall a very pretty look.

(my fourth choice) Maxima of the Netherlands. I thought her Valentino gown was gorgeous on her and looked marvelous with the star tiara and veil. The overall picture was very elegant.

And, ignoring the bows Mabel of the Netherlands's gown wasn't too bad. Looking at the lines of the dress one can see that it was very nicely cut and the long lines suited her figure. Her hair, tiara and veil were actually very feminine and pretty. Had all the bows been very small I think it would be have been more attractive.

Laurentien of the Netherlands was another elegant bride.

My least favourite...Silvia of Sweden (too plain and I didn't like the neckline on her gown), Kalina of Bulgaria (not my cup of tea at all), Marie-Chantal of Greece (while she's an attractive woman the gown did nothing for her).

Wedding Dresses

1- Princess Grace - beautiful lace and fullness.
2- Queen Fabiola - fur trim and line of the gown.
3- Princess Margaret - gorgeous shape, tiara, and veil.
4- Queen Anne-Marie - gorgeous line and veil.

It's hard to rank them. But I do feel that none of the recent group of royal brides really equal these four, although CP Maxima's was gorgeous and CP Letizia's and Mary's were beautiful.

Least favorite - Princess Diana - way, way too much. Also Queen Elizabeth - awkward.

Queen Silvia married in 70s style - tres nondescript.

Letizia of Spain and next Mary of Denmark..........

1- HRH Princess Martha Louise of Norway
2-Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth of Denmark
3-Crown Princess Mathilde of Belgium

I also liked the Princess of Orange'dress, exceptfor the neckline; and Lady Sarah Ferguson was a really nice one, too.

But I did'nt like Princess Mabel wedding dress, really too much ribbon and bows! and Letizia's- I was waiting for something more astonishing, I think.

My preference would be
1. Letizia - I like the neckline, embroidery, the simple cut/lines and the full skirt/train
2. Mette-Marit - i like the way it flows especially on the floor
3. Mary - I like the mother-of-pearl color

not my preference
1. Silvia of Sweden - I don't think it's "queenly" at all
2. Maxima - its only the neckline that I don't like at all, everything else is lovely
3. Sophie Wessex - not a good fit

Best:

1. Anne Marie of Greece - simple and elegant.
2. Princess Alexandra von Fürstenberg - MC:s sister. Gorgeous dress!!
3. Mary of Denmark - She looked every inch the princess.

Worst:

Every bride is beautiful but I didn't like Märtha Louise's, Letizia's and Mabel's (of course).

Favorites:

1- Queen Margrethe of Denmark
2- Crown Princess Mary Elizabeth of Denmark
3- Princess Sophie of Liechtenstein

Least Favorites:

1- Princess Martha Louise of Norway
2- Princess Mabel of Oranje-Nassau
3- Fleur of Wurrtemburg

Royal brides who looked wonderful on their wedding day

An idea from a SuperModerator, norwegianne, what are everyone's thoughts on brides who looked wonderful on their wedding day? I am adding a "twist" as there are so many wonderful brides -- pick an "old-er" choice and a "modern" choice.

My picks for an "old-er" bride who looked spectacular on her wedding day: Queen Margrethe of Denmark.

And a more recent bride who looked spectacular: Infanta Cristina of Spain.

My pick for someone who looked absolutely angelic at her wedding is Princess Haya of Jordan. Her dress was delicate but beautiful and the simple emerald jewellery created a breathtaking affect.

I believe Alexandria wanted us to simultaneously post pics of wonderful brides from the 60's (or previous), 70's, 80's and the present time.

Thus, my Choice for the bride from the past that looked wonderful would be Queen Astrid of Belgium.

She looked so innocent and sweet, that you just can't help but adore her.

Secondly, my choice for the present time that looked wonderful would be Princess Martha Louise

I have always adored her. On her wedding day, she was just glowing with love and those little things like the "A" on her gown, denoting Ari, and the heart shaped bouquet really made me adore her even more.

For an 'older' bride, I pick Grace Kelly. No one could ever look as pretty as she did. And for a 'younger' bride, I agree with pdas1201, and say Märtha-Louise.

I think Crown Princess Mary of Denmark looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day. I love her gown, very simple and stylish but also traditional and regal!!
