I really wish she'd feel much better soon. She's a bright woman with so much to offer and it's so hard to hear her suffering.

And it's always a pleasure to see her out and about.

Yes, such a shame how it turned out. She had and has so much to offer.

I wonder whether things will change when Naruhito becomes Emperor? There will be a younger generation of courtiers then, and maybe Masako will be able to get back some confidence once she's the Empress.:flowers:

They look happy and relaxed...Glad of it! ;)

It is nice to see Crown Princely couple attending the birthday party.

Masako looks a bit tired and Aiko is a female version of her father.

Thanks for the update!:flowers::flowers:
It is nice to see Crown Princess Masako making another public appearance.

Glad to see Masako in public event.. She looks well..

Oh I do hope they attend. To have the beautiful Masako back on the world stage, even if for one event, would be just wonderful.

I hope that Crown Princess Masako can attend the wedding - it will be a long journey but maybe the change of scene might be nice for her.
I cant remember the last time she was allowed to travel out of Japan. But I hope we will see her at the wedding, too.

I think it would be wonderful to see the CP couple together at an event like this one. I hope that they'll be permitted to attend.

TIH the Crown Princely couple are definitely not 'the prisoners'. HIH the Crown Princess's health is the only problem for their travel to UK.

I'm not under the impression that she is staying for medical reasons....dialysis/chemotherapy/radiation, etc. What possible threat to her health would there be from her attending a wedding as a guest?

Bipolar disorder is very serious condition, and large crowds and overdosed attention of mass media may worsen HIH the Crown Princess's health causing depression.:sad:

I actually had her health concerns in mind when I made my reply. My apologies if that was unclear.

I think the Crown Prince at least will go. He went to all the other ones in Europe. It would be great if Crown Princess Masako comes over as well. I was disappointed not to see her in Sweden.
