Kings arrive at Aqaba, at borders of the Red Sea

The Kings arrived this afternoon at Aqaba, in the Jordanian coast of the Red Sea, a tourist enclave that tomorrow, third and last day of their trip from State to this country of Near East, will visit in company of Abdalá and Rania of Jordan.

Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía traveled to Aqaba in the airplane of the Spanish Aerial Force accompanied by Prince Feisal, brother of the hachemita monarch, and by his wife Alia , and they will lodge in the residence of guests of the Palace of Beit To the Bahr. In this palace of summer of the Jordanian Royal Family, the Jordanian Kings will tonight offer a deprived dinner to their Spanish guests.

To about one hundred forty kilometers of this locality of the south of Jordan, and also to borders of the Red Sea, is Dahab, in Egypt, where a terrorist attack killed 18 people and yesterday caused wounds of diverse consideration to other eighty and three. This morning in Amman, Don Juan Carlos expressed his ' firm sentence and repulsá by these attacks, that they emphasize, in his opinion, the necessity to increase the international cooperation against a phenomenon that described as ' cruel and inhumanó.

Tomorrow morning, Don Juan Carlos and Abdalá of Jordan will be transferred in helicopter until the training camp of Al Humaymah to attend a tactical exercise in charge of the Special Forces of the Jordanian Army. Later, they will know the plans the Government to advance in the tourist development of this zone of smooth temperatures and warm waters, surrounded by desert.

A lunch deprived with Abdalá II and Rania in the Palace of Beit AlBahr will end the second visit of State of the Kings from Spain to this country.

Kings know the plans tourist and industrial in Aqaba

The Kings of Spain today knew the ambitious plans tourist and industrial development that the Government of Jordan has started up in Aqaba, population located to the south of the country, in the coasts of the Red Sea. To this place, from that the neighbors Israel and Egypt descry themselves, they came from vacations the last year more than thirty thousand Spaniards, in search of sun and tempered waters that hide chorale bottoms which they are between most beautiful of the world.
Accompanied by Abdalá and Rania of Jordan, the Kings attended a work meeting in the morning in which the people in charge of Special the Economic Zone of Aqaba explained the plans to them that from 2001 and to 2020 they persecute to make the tourist and industrial development compatible and sustainable of the zone.
In Aqaba the Jordanian Royal Family has her residence of summer, the Palace of Beit To the Bahr, and in him the Kings stayed themselves tonight. Here the Jordanian Government wants to attract the foreign investments by means of fiscal incentives and facilities of all type in a surface of 375 kilometers square, with the final mission to make of this tourist, industrial and commercial enclave the front door to a more extensive market, the one of all Oriente.medio.
After the explanations, the Spanish and Jordanian Kings visited one of the tourist complexes in construction, the one of Bay Cutting, with which he tries himself to attract the quality tourism. It was the last act of a day that Don Juan Carlos and Abdalá II had initiated in the training camp of A the Humaymah, in the heat of desert of Wadi Rum, at where they arrived in helicopter to attend a tactical exercise in charge of the Special Forces of the Jordanian Ground forces.
At noon, both marriages, in addition to Prince Feisal, brother of Abdalá II, and their Alia wife, who has accompanied to the Kings in all the acts of their stay in Jordan, met in a celebrated private lunch in the Beit Palace to the Bahr. Also they were Prince Hamzah, older son of the deceased King Hussein and Reina Noor, and its wife, Princess Noor.
Minutes before the 16.30 hours (15.30 hours in Madrid), the Kings of Jordan dismissed their Spanish guests to the Airport the International King Hussein de Aqaba, from where course to Qatar took off the airplane of the Spanish Air Force, second and last stage of this trip from the Kings to Near East.
In the airport, like in previous days, the samples of familiarity and affection of the Jordanian Royal Family returned to repeat themselves towards the Kings of Spain, whom these days have agreed in remembering the brotherly bonds that unite to both Royal Families from times of the previous King, Hussein. Bonds that have been and are decisive in the relations between both countries, and to which it has been wanted to give an impulse with this visit, second with character of State - the previous one was almost twelve years ago that Don Juan Carlos and Doña Sofía makes to the Hachemita Kingdom. It concluded therefore a stay of three days of duration that has served to state the necessity that those excellent personal and political relations of both Real Houses, have its economic correspondence in and the commercial thing, since they are not at the level that the possibilities offer.

the queens look absolutely charming and beautiful :)

Rania and Sofia look very close, especially in that picture of them hugging at the farewell ceremony.

I have never doubted that the Spanish and Jordanian royal families are very close to each other, and by looking at this pictures I can only confirm my belief that there is a great realtionship between each other.I love the outfits of both queens on the farewell ceremony at the airport, they look like models!I wonder if Queen Sofia had at least a little time to meet with Queen Noor in private.

Noor and Sofia's friendship is well known so it must be that much harder for Rania to try and create a similar relationship. It's good to see that both Queens seem to have enjoyed themselves and each other's company.
