His Majesty King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, on Thursday departed on an official visit to Japan, which will be followed by a visit to the United Kingdom.

During the visit to Tokyo, where King Abdullah will also be accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty is scheduled to meet with Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako of Japan.

The Imperial Household Agency reports Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako will meet King Abdullah, Queen Rania and Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan at the Imperial residence on April 11 in the afternoon.
Crown Prince Hussein will visit Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko on April 10 in the morning.

Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako met King Abdullah and Queen Rania during the state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II in September last year. They met Crown Prince Hussein when he attended the enthronement ceremonies in 2019.

Also, the King and Emperor met last September when the King visited Japan to attend the state funeral of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

It is a hearing aid. According to Jordanian press sources, the King's hearing was affected by the loud sounds of weapons and armored vehicles during his military service in the Royal Armor Corps.
