"Maggan", 76, from Södertälje is a princess in Jordan
The prince couple has five children, four sons and one daughter, and nowadays a large number of grandchildren.
But instead of fine dining and state visits, Princess Majda has focused on the needy.
First, refugees, then the children in orphanages.
She founded the foundation Al Hussein Society, which today has its own school and a large training center for children and young people with physical disabilities.
- The need is great, but we reach many, she said in an interview last year.
She is also one of the founders of the Petra National Trust, which works to protect Jordan's world heritage site, Petra, the ancient city, which twelve years ago was named one of the world's seven new wonders.

It is interesting that she has contacts with the Swedish royal family after leaving Sweden such a long time ago.

Svensk Damtidning had last week an article about princess Majda, she was interviewed when crown princess Victoria and prince Daniel visited Jordan in October 2018.

Margaretha Lind was a girl from Södertälje who went to London in the 1960s and fell in love with an Iraqi prince. And since then she has been a princess and lived in Jordan.
Svensk Damtidning met her when crown princess Victoria and prince Daniel visited Amman, and despite all the years in Jordan, her heart still beats for Sweden:
- So fun that Svensk Damtidning comes to visit, now my sister Guje in Södertälje will be really happy, says the princess.
Princess Majda is elegant and straightforward, and she speaks that kind of cultivated Swedish as almost only Swedes who have lived abroad since the 1960s speak.
- The first few years were quite restless in Jordan, with the six-day war in 1967, and so was the civil war in 1970. And even though it didn't last long, the tensions afterwards were of course difficult. But since then Jordan is the calmest country in the whole region, thankfully!
Here, Maggan is called Majda, the Arabic name she got from her father-in-law after the wedding. But is anyone saying Maggan nowadays?
- Yes! All my Swedish friends, and some more for that matter. Then I usually go to Sweden a few times a year and then it is Maggan all the way!
In Amman she is thus Her Royal Highness Princess Majda, and she is both hailed and deeply respected here, mainly for her work with the Al-Hussein Society, a rehabilitation center for children with disabilities that the princess has built up.
It can be seen that Princess Majda's and Prince Raad's contact with the Swedish royal family is warm and cordial. Crown Princess Victoria and prince Daniel were guests of honor at an outdoor lunch in what is known as the Scandinavian Forest, which is situated on a hill on the outskirts of Amman. Princess Majda and her friends in the association Friends of Scandinavia have simply "adopted" the forest.
- We managed to persuade the Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture to give it to us. The forest is not ours really, but we are patrons of it. This was just before the Swedish royal couple came here to visit in 1989, so the king was here and inaugurated the forest. And there is not so much forest here in Jordan otherwise, so it is very important, says Princess Majda.

Her eldest son witch is the head of the UN, EU, USA and Russian delegation to the Israel Palesrine conflict (Tony Blair had that job before him) is from what I read in a book very interested in Swedish politics and economy a former Swedish employee wrote in a book. Her son is the prince of Iraq.
