Or is a mere noble good enough for Sixte after all? In which case prince Michel and sons can be considered his successor. I wonder if he and his sons support Sixte of Carlos Xavier. In general the family doesn't seem too close so probably they don't want to get mixed up in the feud.

Well, if a mere noble is good for Sixte then before Prince Michel the successors would be the two sons of Michel's late older brother, Prince Jacques. Both them - Prince Philipp and Prince Alain - have contracted morganatic marriages according to the standards of both the late Duke Carlos Hugo and of Prince Sixte, so the succession will eventually pass to Prince Michel and his sons, who have both married to noblewomen.

Well, I'm not surprised either.
She looked a bit 'full' on her wedding day, the engagement period was so short and her dress was perfect to hide her belly..
But it's wonderful news!

After hearing the tragic news out of Glasgow and then learning a Toronto officer's fighting for his life after crashing his cruiser (and after seeing what's left of it, I'm amazed he made it to the Hospital...), this is much needed lovely happy news to see.
Yes, all of us had an idea this announcement was coming. Doesn't really matter. Here's to a healthy beautiful lil one and a healthy Mommy in February!!
(I have both close friends and Family serving in respective Police Services across Canada, so today's sad news hits close to Home.)

That's wonderful!
They are such a beautiful couple. I hope their baby will be a healthy one and if it'll be a girl she would have inherited her mothers Beauty.

He is only 41 and already an ambassador. He must be very talented, though the cynics under us may think that nepotism plays a part in this quick carreer.

Just being good at what he does at the Foreign Office counts more then what some dutch cynics think by lack of any other occupation.Jaime used to work as a conflict manager abroad,Iraq,Afghanistan ao.Now,grant him a position where he for a change doesn't have to worry about his head being blown off at the next corner while others sit safe at home thinking of another cynical beside the point remark.. .

I don't think it is needed for the Dutch ambassador to the Vatican to be a catholic. Though at least two of the last three ambassadors to the Vatican have been catholic, the four ambassadors before that were not.
Why do you assume that the prince is 'devout' btw?
