Prince Emanuele has given an interview to French magazine Point de Vue about his new restaurant and the effects the current Corona situation in the USA has:
Quote:
Joe Biden's victory made people happy and confident. It made them want to meet up and go out. But there remains this health threat. America is seeing increased contamination cases. The good thing about California is that the weather is nice, a lot of things are going on outside. The restaurants are closed except for the outdoor areas. We are very lucky because ours has a very beautiful patio with around 40 seats

Very good news, about Pss Clotilde's commitment of this important cause about mental health. It seems mental health still is viewed with a stigma attached and this in the 21st century.

You are quite correct that they mainly used the personal title such as Prince of Naples for King Vittorio Emanuele III or Prince of Piedmont for King Umberto II, but the heirs had the title of Principe Ereditario (Crown Prince) as well. The Royal Decree of January 1, 1890 prescribed this title for the eldest son of the King.

No difference from their thoughts on calling her father and grandfather crown princes.

The article reviews Emmanuel-Philibert's most recent interview with Gala in which he tells the magazine about the happy long-distance relationship between himself and his wife. She resides with the couple's daughters in Paris while he spends the bulk of his time in Monaco and the United States, where he runs an eatery.
I was under the impression that this was not new information, but since I do not follow the family I could very well be mistaken.

I'm quite certain that what Duc refers to isn't the use of the title itself but Prince Vittorio Emanuele's setting aside of male primogeniture and robbing his Aosta cousins of the future headship of the House of Savoy.

You're right. It's been known for a long time that the couple had an "unusual" but affectionate marriage but I think this is the first time that we hear about it from one of themselves.

My point was that the Aosta cousins do not recognize Vittorio Emanuele himself as the head. His own claim already "robs" his cousins of the headship in their eyes, with or without the ban on women.
