Mmmm after all these pictures of Clotilde, I have to say it: I really dislike her hair color [looks cheap in my opinion] and hairstyle [it's always the same, and never looks elegant, always in my humble opinion]

Clotilde has attended almost all the events at Cannes, thanks for all the pictures. She is a great to person to watch, I'd just love to see her at a few more official events.

At the official events in Italy you will see Princess Silvia,Princess Maria-Gabriella or Princess Olga who belong to the Royal Family of Savoy.
Marina Doria and Clotilde Courau (who married to the non-dynastic descendants of the House of Savoy) are rarely seen at "official events".

There are no ‘official events’ as such, Italy is a republic, the Aosta branch (mainly Amedeo and occasionally Aimone, very rarely Silvia, and hardly ever Olga) attend functions that the Unione Monarchia Italiana association organise. This organization is the one set up by Amedeo and supports his claim to the Italian throne. So if you support his claims, fine but don’t mislead others.
The ‘throne’ of Italy or headship of the Savoy family is disputed, there are 2 claimants, it’s wrong to say that Marina or Clothilde married non-dynastic descendents. It depends on which branch one supports.
Emanuele Filiberto and Clothilde have and do attend ‘official events’ just not ones organised by the Unione Monarchia Italiana! Earlier this year EF and his parents attended the commemoration of the 150 anniversary of the Savoy family becoming the monarchs of a unified Italy in Turin. Here’s another official function they attended
On Sunday, January 16, Prince Emanuele and Princess Clotilde attended the
133th anniversary of the National Institute of Honour Guards to the Royal
Tombs (founded in 1878) at the Pantheon in Rome, Italy.
Also buried there are two kings of Italy: Vittorio Emanuele II and Umberto I,
as well as Umberto's Queen, Margherita.
Both Emanuele Filiberto and Clothilde also attend Italian monarchist organization events relating to monarchist orders, one in New York a few years back comes to mind.
They also do the traditional royals supporting charities (Milan hospital gala recently) as well as visiting natural disasters. They both toured the L’Aquila earthquake zone to support the people there.
The Aosta branch are basically invisible, one has to check with the Unione Monarchia Italiana website to get any information on them! Not even Aimone’s and Olga’s wedding made the news (or magazines) in Italy. Point de Vue a French magazine, due to Aimone’s mother’s background was the only one that covered their wedding. Aimone comes to Italy occasionally to attend an event with his father but I only know this because it’s on their website, it certainly doesn’t make the news! Olga is rarely with them so to say that she carries out ‘official duties’ is very much an exaggeration!
Whether or not one agrees with EF’s media career, he does have a profile in Italy and is well known. Aimone is a total non entity (and probably the way he likes it since he lives in Moscow) chances of a restoration of a monarchy in Italy now or in the future is zero, neither claimants have any credibility. Both Vittorio Emanuele and Amedeo are considered buffoons and their sons aren’t terribly respected.

It is hardly to believe you know the italian society.Prince Aimone is not so known but he is very respected.
Emanuele-Filiberto is known as a showman but nothing else.

Actually, the UMI was founded in 1944 (when Amedeo was one year old). So it supports him, yes, but he can hardly be said to have had anything to do with its establishment.

In Italy official duties are usually carried by the President of the Republic with, sometimes, his wife; or by the President of the Cabinet (Italy has no Prime Minister or Premier). If neither is avalaible then it's the President of the Senate, who carries the official duties, or if all of them are busy or unavailable it's up to the President of the Chamber of the Deputees to replace all of them. As you can see anything that the Savoy and Savoy-Aosta do is done on their own initiative, unless they are invited to join by the high offices of State.
The average Italians do not care a flying fig about the Savoys and their relatives.

It is true Italians are not very interested in the descendants (dynastic or not) of the Savoys.
