Steve Berry wrote a great mystery novel (fiction of course) about the Amber Room. I really enjoyed the book. Wouldn't you love to see it?

Not sure what the law is there. Is it finders-keepers?

Awesome! Thank you, Lexi, what an impressive place. Wish I can see it one day with my own eyes :w00t::clap:

I am hoping to see it next year when I go to Russia.

When there was not amber, areas of the walls were covered with canvas and painted in imitation of the stone by the artist Ivan Belskey.
In 1763 Empress Catherine II gave orders that the painted canvas on the lower part of the wall be replaced with newly-made amber panels. The craftsmen produced eight flat panels for the lower tier with a mosaic pattern.

The Amber Room was built in the Baroque style.
