Prince and Princess Michael rarely carry out official engagements, so it's not abnormal for what they do to not be mentioned. Michael might attend the reburial, but, unless something comes out of BP naming him as EIIR's official representative, he's attending in a private capacity as a friend of the Romanov family -- and private engagements aren't listed in the Court Circular (almost all of Michael's engagements fall under the category of private engagements).

This would probably be considered as a funeral and attendance at funerals isn't mentioned in the Court Circular so it will be a suprise as to who turns up but I am 99.9% sure that Prince Michael will be there.

It's truth that english version lacks of material but still there's gallery with few but interesting photos like p.es Empress with king Christian or family portrait.

It'll be interesting to see what form the reburial service takes.

I believe Alexandra was a daughter of Paul I of Russia and his second wife Sophie of Wurttemberg. I believe Michael is a great-great-great grandson or some such distant relative but apparantly Orthodox and so was called upon to attend her reburial.

Michael von Habsburg-Lothringen is descendant from Grand Duchess Alexandra Alexandrovna Romanoff–Holstein–Gottorp, who was Emperor Alexander II’s eldest daughter.
Grand Duchess Alexandra Pavlovna was the daughter of Emperor Paul I and Marie Fedorovna of Wurttemberg. She married Archduke Joseph of Austria.

Sophie of Wurttenberg was the wife of Willhelm III of the Netherlands (who was also Grand Duke of Luxemburg). Since they had no male issue and Luxemburgh practiced the Salic law, Duke Adolf of Nassau (distant relative) became Frand Duke Adolphe of Luxemburg.

I was in Roskilde Cathedral today - and was admitted to the crypt where Marie/Dagmar currently is resting. If you're in Denmark before September 10th, and want to visit it, it is open, but after that they're closing it in connection with the reburial.
Some pictures I took:
The sign to the entrance. "To Empress Dagmar's Coffin".
 The coffin
Note the flowers in front of the coffin
In other news: Xenia Kulikovsky was interviewed in this weeks edition of Billed Bladet. She is slightly hurt, as she and her two brothers hasn't been invited to the reburial - being direct descendants of Marie and living in Denmark - while more far out branches of the Romanov family, who were not directly related in such a close manner, have been invited to all the events.

Thanks for the pictures. Is Xenia the great granddaughter of Marie? That is unfair that Marie's direct descendants aren't invited to attend. I would think that they would want direct descendants to be at the reburial.

Xenia is the daughter of Marie's daughter Olga's son Guri. Apparently neither she nor her brothers Leonid or Alexander were invited. Xenia, apparently, felt that it was rather odd as she had met Queen Margrethe II on several occasions where Xenia had talked about her grandmother Olga and the family.
Xenia's son Paul had apparently been allowed to be on the ship bringing Marie back to Russia - after prompting the Danish foreign department on it.
I wonder if an official guest-list will be issued for the ceremony at Roskilde?

Thank you Anne for the pictures from the crypt. I wonder what will happen to the space where Marie's coffin has stood until this day, will they perhaps place a memorial plaque there - or just leave it empty?
How rude not to invite Xenia and her son to the events! As direct descendants they should be guaranteed invites to all the official ceremonies surrounding this event.

In the pictures of the coffin posted by Norwegianne, does anyone know what is that red-white-blue disc next to the coffin? Does it have a special meaning? Is this some type of symbolic ornament they use in Denmark for funerals?

A note to Danish members, and anybody else who gets DR1: Queen Margrethe will give an interview on DR1 on Monday, 19.30 Danish time, where she'll talk about Empress Dagmar in connection with the reburial.

In Majesty Magazine they have an article on the reburial (has Prince Harry on the cover)- Vol 27, No. 9. I haven't had a chance to read the article yet (just got the issue in the mail- a little later than normal). It has some pictures that I'd never seen before.
