Exactly. I posted this in this thread or one of the other Romanov threads sometime ago. AFAIC, Nicholas Romanov is nothing more than a self-important megalomaniac.

HIH Grand Duchess Xenia of Russia, sister of Tsar Nicholas II, when questioned in the late 1950's by a British writer as to her "princely grandsons", stated she did not consider any of them to be royal or a Prince of Russia because they were all morganatic under the Imperial House Laws.
If the Grand Duchess didn't believe her own grandchildren were imperial dynasts or princes of Russia, it's hard to imagine how the other Romanov descendants could be royal either.

Sorry Blondebeauty. I only know of HIH Grand Duchess Maria's son, who is Hohenzollern-Romanoff.

And this status could only be held if your parents had made an equal marriage as approved by the Tsar.
Morganatic descendants (including Nicholas Romanov) were granted a new title, usually a Prince/Princess Romanovsky-Other Name, with the style of Serene Highness. Some members of the family did seek titles from Grand Duke Cyril or Grand Duke Vladimir when they married, others did not.

I stand corrected slightly on the style and title of the imperial dynasts. Children and grandchildren in the male line of the Tsar were Grand Duke/Duchess with the style Imperial Highness, while great-grandchildren in the male line were styled Prince/Princess of Russia with the style of Highness (a qualification that continued to be passed down to each eldest male of the next generation). All other descendants in the male line were Prince/Princess of Russia with the style of Serene Highness (provided, of course, that equal marriages were made by all under the Pauline Laws).
Unequal, but honorable marriages to a person of good standing, were accepted but new morganatic styles were granted to the spouse and children (i.e. HSH Princess Romanovsky-Ilinsky) by the Tsar or Head of the House. Other marriages were never granted a princely morganatic style, but usually created morganatic count/countess styles.

Warren, is that the same Michael Andrejevitch that was mentioned as being the real head of the Imperial Family, that is if Maria Vladimirovna was excluded from succession?:)

All his three marriages took place in Sydney. He's been here for quite a while and maintains a very low profile. He is getting on in years now.

I found out on the web, but then I read it in a post above, that his wives were Esther Murphy, Shirley Grammond and then, Giulia Crespi.
Were they Australian or English?
If you know, what did he do for a career in Australia?
I don't know where to find info on him, when I tried searching it always only listed his mother or his ancestors of the same name.:)

The first two were born in Australia (Horsham, Victoria and Brisbane, respectively). That's all I know, except that Prince Michael lives in Double Bay.
Perhaps he crossed paths with Marie Christine von Reibnitz?

Maybe I'm thinking of a different person, but is this the same Marie Christine von Reibnitz that is married to Prince Michael of Kent?
It can't be because they live in England, so if I'm wrong (most likely!), who were you referring to?

The one and the same. She lived in Double Bay with her mother and brother for a time. She went to school (Kincoppal?) in Sydney. She was here for a school reunion a couple of years ago. A private visit.

Very few have any titles, other than morganatic styles granted by Grand Duke Cyril or Grand Duke Vladimir (i.e. HSH Prince Romanovsky-Ilinsky), and most of the family doesn't bother with them.
They are no longer royal because they are all morganatic descendants of imperial dynasts.
