Princess Victoria:

"I am honoured to have been appointed a member of the Honorary Commitee of the Cercle Aureum. Thank you to its founder and President @fabien_weyders. Through its many activities the Cercle has become an essential promoter of the social and cultural life of its members in Luxembourg, France and Belgium and now also in Russia. Congratulations!"

Georgi Romanoff's biography suggests that the only German-speaking country in which he has lived is Luxembourg, and it is unclear from the biography how long his posting there lasted. He was brought up in France and Spain, and it seems he has resided mostly in Brussels and Russia during his adult life.

Российский Императорский Дом - Е.И.В. Государь Наследник Цесаревич и Великий Князь Георгий Михайлович

But then this was decided by an reigning Emperor when Austria still was a Monarchy. And the Habsburgs have also relaxed their marriage requierements in the 1970's before skipping them altogether.

True, but the Russian house laws were also promulgated by a reigning emperor.

It is excellent that Princess Victoria is involved with various projects. I almost want to refer to her as Grand Duchess Victoria.

She would be a great Tsaritsa.

If Princess Victoria and Grand Duke George have a son, it will be interesting to see what name that the child will be given.

Princess Victoria spoke to ¡HOLA! about the Russian-Ukrainian War.

"Peace is a universal value", says Victoria in conversation with ¡HOLA!. "We are full of pain because Ukraine and Russia are brothers", acknowledges the princess, who has begun to help thousands of refugees.

I'm with Lucien on this one. Refugees from where?

She and her husband must have sucked up to the Kremlin big time to be given all those goodies for the wedding. I doubt they want anyone to go into the details of that.

I'm also a little sceptical of this alleged "Mass for peace" they organised.

And what do you know? Perhaps you want to take your Expert knowledge and change the Wikipedia?

From there: As of September 2015, there were 2.6 million Ukrainians living in Russia, more than half of them "guest workers". A million more had arrived in the past eighteen months[19] (although critics have accused the FMS and media of circulating exaggerated figures[20][21]). About 400,000 had applied for refugee status and almost 300,000 had asked for temporary residence status, with another 600,000 considered to be in breach of migration rules.[19] By November 2017, there were 427,240 applicant asylum-seekers and refugees from Ukraine registered in Russia,[6] over 185,000 of them having received temporary asylum, and fewer than 590 with refugee status."
