Current income of the Romanovs?
I am curious as to the current sources of income for the living decendants of the Romanovs. Is there some money left? or are they virtually penniless and have to work for their money?
What is HIH Grand Duchess Maria, Pretender to the Russian throne, source of income? Does she recieve some money from the Hohenzollerns? (She was married to a Prussian prince who fathered her child)
What about the members of the Romanov Family Association? Any money there? They have that Romaov Fund for Russia, is that just a charity in name or is there actual $$$ behind it?
Thanks!

There is a topic about Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia on here that might answer some of your questions. It is on page 2 of this section. The RFA money goes to charity.

Discussing the current grand duchess
would anyone care to discuss the current grand duchess maria's claim that she is the rightful heir to the throne? First of all she decends from grand duke cyril (her grandfather). Cyril betrayed the tsar and his royal oath.Had the tsar not abdicated cyril would have been executed. this removes all of cyril's line from the throne. Furthermore the royal sucsession laws states clearly that the throne can't pass through a woman. Finally her son george is in line to a throne but not the russian throne. He is the great grandson of kiesar wilhelm the second.

Most of the Romanovs are not rich at all, with the possible exception of the Ilinyskys in the U.S., since Grand Duke Dimitri Paulovich married an American heiress, Audrey Emery. Ironically, Dimitri Ilinsky, who is the grandson of the Grand Duke, is the senior line male morganaut of the family.
Grand Duchess Maria sold her long-time residence in Madrid and lives in a spacious, but not particularly luxurious, apartment there. Presumbly, her half-sister, Helen Kirby, who inherited her father's fortune after his tragic death by the Nazis, supported the family for years, but that money has probably dwindled considerably.

I remember in 2000 we had to deal with the RIUO. The President of the RIUO told his subsidiary in Russia - the "Vserossijskij Monarxicheskij Centr" ("Всероссийский Монархический Центр") to deal with us. In the telephone conversations the VMC Youth Committee President Akunov told me: "You know, we support not only Mariya Vladimirovna". Then, when we met with Akunov and his deputy Kanaev, they told us: "You know, we are against Mariya Vladimirovna." In that small time span, they broke with the RIUO. Their main idea, as we got it, was that the Monarch and all ruling elite should be of German origin. Their main symbol was the swastica. My Master told them: "Not only are you undecided on whom you support, you are also pure German nazis." Then he walked out of the meeting. As we got it, at that time they were undecided and began promoting the Oldenburg dynasty later. However, they seem undecided on a specific Oldenburg individual till nowadays.

Georgia was part of Russia from the 16th century on. In 1801 the last King of Kartli-Kakhetia (Eastern Georgia) was ousted by Russia. Since then some Bagrations became Princes in Russia.

The senior line was absorbed into the Fifth Book of Noblility and allowed princely rank, which was in violation of the Treaty guaranteeing the King's descendants the right to be Prince/Princess of Georgia, not just noble princes under the Tsar.
