Oh yes, agree. She is so proud of her royal descending, Marie-Christine once said that her marriage to Pr Michael is the only royal-blooded marriage in British Royal Family since Queen Elizabeth married Pr Philip of Greece

Some time ago - there was Albanian royal wedding, where many royals were present, (by the way Pr and Pss Michael of Kent without their daughter Gabrielle) - and there were also Maria Vladimirovna and Georgi - pics are posted on their FB page. There was only one unmarried princess among the guests - Princess Elizabeth of Thurn und Taxis with her mother Gloria. There are rumours that their mothers try to arrange some pre-engagement between Elizabeth and Georgi

I highly doubt that Princess Gloria, a devout Roman Catholic, wishes to have Grand Duke Georgi as a son-in-law. Princess Elisabeth will have to convert. Princess Gloria may not like it. So the rumour in question can be viewed as false.

The late St John Paul II once told that the Roman-Catholic Church and the Orthodox Church were the two lungs of Christianity. Especially as a devout Roman-Catholic, the deep-felt mystic, the liturgy and the hymns will have a strong attraction to Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis. In the end it is about the same Father, Son and Holy Ghost, the same Virgin Mary, the same apostles, saints and martyrs.
And not to forget: when Princess Gloria's daughter Elisabeth would fall in love with Prince Georg of Prussia a.k.a. Georgiy Romanov, who is she to "forbid" a marriage? Her children are adults and very capable to make their own decisions...

But before the marriage of her oldest daughter she said in an Interview that it was important for her that her future son-in-law would convert from the anglican faith to the catholic faith. And they believe in the same father, son and Holy Ghost etc.

The Church of England can not be compared to the Orthodoxy. Even within the Anglican community there is almost a chism between the many different "branches". But it is all theory. It is more likely that Princess Elisabeth will meet a nice dude from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and marry him than go for the not so deceiving looking Georg and his über-apparent mother.

She said that she has most royal blood of any person who married into the family since Prince Philip.
And what she said is true.

Certainly is true. While there have been aristocratic brides since Philip, she is the only inecwith royal blood in the recent generations (others have it far back). Her maternal grandmother was a princess of two royal houses.

Prince Franz Wilhelm and his son and Prince Georg are both in the line of succession to the former Prussian/German throne. If Georg would like to stay in that line, he needs to marry Standesgemäß (which is not so strict as to marry Ebenbürtig). No idea how his father feels about that. Below one can see that noble ladies as Armgard von Veltheim and Auguste Zimmermann von Siefahrt have been accepted. For Russia the "rules" are more strict.
1. Georg Friedrich
(son of Louis Ferdinand Jr Prinz von Preußen and of Donata Gräfin zu Castell-Rüdenhausen)
2. Carl Friedrich
(son of Georg Friedrich Prinz von Preußen and of Sophie Prinzessin von Isenburg)
3. Louis Ferdinand
(son of Georg Friedrich Prinz von Preußen and of Sophie Prinzessin von Isenburg)
4. Heinrich Albert
(son of Georg Friedrich Prinz von Preußen and of Sophie Prinzessin von Isenburg)
5. Christian Sigismund
(son of Louis Ferdinand Sr Prinz von Preußen and of Kira Kirilovna Romanova, Großfürstin of Russia)
6. Christian Ludwig
(son of Christian Sigismund Prinz von Preußen and of Nina Gräfin zu Reventlow)
7. Oskar
(son of Wilhelm Karl Prinz von Preußen and of Armgard von Veltheim)
8. Oscar
(son of Oskar Prinz von Preußen and of Auguste Zimmermann von Siefahrt)
9. Albert
(son of Oskar Prinz von Preußen and of Auguste Zimmermann von Siefahrt)
10. Franz Wilhelm
(son of Karl Franz Prinz von Preußen and of Henriette Prinzessin von Schönaich-Carolath)
11. Georg
(son of Franz Wilhelm Prinz von Preußen and of Maria Vladimirovna Romanova, Großfürstin of Russia)

Only his uncle Prince Franz Friedrich, who is the younger brother of Prince Franz Wilhelm. He married twice, both times to non-noble ladies, and is father to one daughter.

By my understanding Franz Friedrich Prinz von Preußen (uncle to Prince Georg and former brother-in-law to Maria Vladimirovna Romanova) is no longer in the line of succession, after contracting a nicht-standesgemäßige marriage with Frau Gudrun Winkler.
Interesting fact: both Franz Wilhelm (Georg's father) and his brother Franz Friedrich (Georg's uncle) are not only great-grandsons of Kaiser Wilhelm II, they are also grandsons to the Kaiser's second spouse Hermine.
From Wilhelm II to Georg / Georgy
Wilhelm II. König von Preußen, Deutscher Kaiser (1859 - 1941)
x Auguste Victoria Prinzessin von Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg (1858 - 1921)
= Joachim
SON OF WILHELM II
Joachim Prinz von Preußen (1890 - 1920)
x Marie Auguste Prinzessin von Anhalt (1898 - 1983)
= Franz Joseph
GRANDSON OF WILHELM II
Franz Joseph Prinz von Preußen (1916 - 1975)
x Henriette Prinzessin von Schönaich-Carolath (1918 - 1972)
= Franz Wilhelm
GREAT-GRANDSON OF WILHELM II
Franz Wilhelm Prinz von Preußen (1943)
x Maria Wladimirowna Romanowa Großfürstin von Russland (1953)
= Georg Prinz von Preußen / Georgy Mikhailovich Romanov Großfürst von Russland
From Hermine to Georg / Georgy
Hermine Prinzessin Reuß ältere Linie (1887-1947)
x Johann Georg Prinz von Schönaich-Carolath (1873 - 1920)
= Henriette
DAUGHTER OF HERMINE
Henriette Prinzessin von Schönaich-Carolath (1918 - 1972)
x Franz Joseph Prinz von Preußen (1916 - 1975)
= Franz Wilhelm
GRANDSON OF HERMINE
Franz Wilhelm Prinz von Preußen (1943)
x Maria Wladimirowna Romanowa Großfürstin von Russland (1953)
= Georg Prinz von Preußen / Georgy Mikhailovich Romanov Großfürst von Russland

So, Georg's grandmother was Princess Henriette von Schönaich-Carolath.
What if Georg, for example, wants to marry one of the Princesses von Schönaich-Carolath?
Princess Natasha von Schönaich-Carolath (born in 1986)
Princess Tatiana von Schönaich-Carolath (born in 1987)
Princess Sophie von Schönaich-Carolath (born in 1988)
Princess Theresa von Schönaich-Carolath (born in 1990)
Princess Huberta von Schönaich-Carolath (born in 1993)
Princess Marie von Schönaich-Carolath (born in 1994)
or
Princess Ludmilla von Schönaich-Carolath (born in 1996)
What would be the official "word" of the Imperial family towards this kind of marriage considering that his one grandmother was a von Schönaich-Carolath Princess, while his other grandmother was a Bagration-Moukhransky Princess, both from Princely non-mediatized families?

The situation is very difficult and serious. Maria Vladimirovna has been arguing for a long time with other Romanovs about who can legally belong to Imperial family. And she always focused mostly on the unequal (morganatic) marriages of the rest of Romanovs. And now, obviously Georgi refuses to marry royal but not beloved princess - he will marry a commoner. And what will begin!!!! All Romanovs will trigger a grand scandal saying that now Georgi and his children cannot belong to Imperial family. Poor Gr Dss Maria!

Poor Georgi. Who cares who he marries. This is a non starter. There are no "princesses" lining up to marry him.. There is no throne and has not been for 100 years. Let him be happy. Maria is a fool if this bothers her. Her first interest is that her son is happy, not a phantom throne.

actually maria already said that she would be happy to approve as the head of the house the marriage of her son with any untitled woman , and i don't understand the idea that it has to be marrying dynastically a princess or being happy that he has to choose one or the other but he can't have both when you can see hundreds of people lately that got married dynastically or people with titles and are happily married eg his cousins Georg Friedrich, Prince of Prussia
, Hereditary Prince Ferdinand of Leiningen is to marry a prussian princess , the bavarian and the wurttemberg royal families had mostly married princes or princesses and are happily married and other hundreds of nobles from germany poland and other former monarchies had married titled people .
i'm tired of the cliche disney and hollywood story of " and he gave up the throne to marry the woman that he loves " .

True, it feels like there is no love between people of equal circle.
In reality, there have been a lot equal marriages in recent years, like:
Prince Feridnand zur Lippe-Weissenfeld = Princess Augusta of Bavaria
Prince Lukas von Auerpserg = Princess Alice of Bavaria
Prince Manuel of Bavaria = Princess Anna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg
Princess Isabel of Orleans-Braganca = Count Alexander zu Stolberg-Stolberg
Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia = Princess Sophie von Isenburg
Princess Rosalie von Croy = Altgraf Conrad zu Salm-Raiffersheidt-Raitz
Princess Sophie von Lowenstein-Wertheim-Freudenberg = Count Constantin Fugger von Babenhausen
Prince Heinrich XXIV Reuss = Countess Dorothea zu Castell-Castell
Prince Dominik Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rosenberg = Countess Olga zu Castell-Rüdenhausen
soon
Prince Ferdinand zu Leiningen = Princess Viktoria Luise of Prussia
and so on...

That Prussian requirements were lower: a Gräfin zu Castell-Rüdenhausen, a Prinzessin von Schönaich-Carolath, a Prinzessin von Ysenburg, all acceptable. But would these be acceptable too for a Russian Grand-Prince?
One of the Romanov descendants married a Countess Praskiova Dmitrievna Sheremeteva, another Romanov descendant married a Princess Natalia Alexandrovna Golitsyna, etc. and they were considered not befitting the rank and the status of Russian Grand-Prince. The same doubts were around Georg/Georgy's own grandmother Princess Leonida Georgievna Bagration-Mukhranskaya.
