Then of course, a clean reputation and a good professional background, with money of her own. As for patience, she will need a lot of empathy as well to understand how fiercely devoted Maria Vladimirovna is to her son.

Grand Duchess Maria must be admired for how much loves and care for her only son.

Maybe a Serbian Princess will be more acceptable for the russians as future wife of the Tsarevich.

There is only Marija of Yugoslavia. She is quite young, and neither she nor her parents seem to mingle much with their royal relatives in Serbia, let alone members of foreign dynasties.

A lot of money. Everything else - from royal birth to Orthodoxy, Maria has now proclaimed that she can live without.

As half the thread had been taken up with the discussion of GD Georgi's Prussian birth with little relevance to the topic of 'a potential bride', those posts have been moved across to Georgi's own thread.

I think any woman that Georgi marries will come under very close inspection from his mother. Whomever he marries will have to accept the fact that's he's very close to his mother and she's part of the picture. Getting along with Grand Duchess Maria will be part of the package.
She strikes me as a very strong willed woman whose looking out for her son's interests and protecting his interests. A woman who has a similiar personality would not get along with her but would clash and would not be wife material. A woman whose very laid back, easy going and who doesn't care to take a leadership role would probably be the most suitable wife for Georgi personality wise.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed single until his mother died, and then he came out as being gay.

What makes you think that he is gay? And if he is I hope for at least dynastic reasons he has a suitable heir.

While she is prubably being realistic anout her chances og finding someone for him that meets the old requirements, wouldn't that diminish his position in regards to the other claiments?

It would be refreshing to see royalty marry royalty.

Yup.
Especially since she has carried on like a shrew for over thirty years, and her father and mother before her, on the topic of "equal marriage" and its importance. Many consider her mother to have been not of equal marriage, so Maria's endless insistence on the topic makes her look foolish especially now that she is suddenly proclaiming that she will "rule" otherwise on the issue of "equal marriage."
So the bride pool just expanded to include all manner of wealthy trash from everywhere. Isn't there a pretty ready supply of Russian oligarchs now with daughters to raffle off? Maria didn't seem picky about bargaining with the former Soviet state (the murderers of her family) when preparing to negotiate her son's custody for recognization of his rights. I hardly think she would blink an eye at accepting some club-known billionaire's daughter from dubious pedigree, as long as the price was right.

Yup. He's never been linked with any female, although there are plenty of pics of him partying.

Your continuos offence of the Imperial Family is unbelieveble on a royalist forum. You should have more respect for the members of the Imperial Family.

This, IMO, isn't a "royalist" forum, it's a royal forum.
Why should Not A Pretender show respect to a family who hasn't earnt any?

A royalist supports a particular monarch as head of state for a particular kingdom, or of a particular dynastic claim.
You can be a fan of royalty, and not have to be a Royalist.
The fact that it has existed for a long time, doesn't mean it should be respected. NotAPretender has her opinions, there is no reason to slate her for it.
