Hi,
Some days ago, June, 18, an important gala tookd place in Paris, called "Concert pour la paix". Empress Farah was there and maybe some of you have some picture of her there. Can you post them here?
Thanks

Once voted one of the worlds most eligible princes, Prince Ali Reza Pahlavi, the younger son of the late Shah of Iran, has been engaged to Sarah Tabatabai since 2001. The 37 year old Mr. Pahlavi is an alumni of Princeton University, where he studied physics, as well as Colombia University, New York, where he graduated in 1992 in contemporary history. He is now working on his PhD at Harvard in Ancient Iranian history. Maybe he is waiting for 2004, the prospective year of his graduation, to wed his longtime fiancée?

I'm not sure I agree with the Empress that change is coming soon to Iran :( but hopefully I'm wrong and she and the rest of the family can return to their country at some future point. She has definitely kept her elegance and beauty. I particularly admire how well she has coped with Leila's death. I'm sure she's been heartbroken by that tragedy but she's managed to go on with her life.

Actually, I was quoting an article...It was the only thing I found on the delay of Prince Ali Reza's wedding. However, I did read in another article a while back in an interview of the Empress, she was asked why her daughter (Farahnaz) and son (Ali-reza) haven't married, she replied that things hadn't been so good for them and that her children have suffured many things in the past which holds them from the future.

This is the Link to the rest of the interview, but here is the part I was talking about :
PDV:
Your daughter, the Princess Farahnaz and your son, Prince Ali Reza, are still unmarried?
FP:
This hurts my heart sometimes. But you know, my children experienced some difficult moments when they were very young which was even harder for adults. I keep the hope that one day they will find him or her who will in turn bring them happiness and comfort...
