i have recently read a biography- autobiography i believe, on princess tatiana metternich winneburg she was from a russian princely family who escaped the revolution and she married during the early part of WW2 she had to pass tests set by the nazis to prove she was racially pure and so able to marry an (aryan) german prince. the book is in english and is very readable . the princess seems like a very nice person and she was very beautiful when she was young i hope to post a picture of her at a later date. she was a babe! :flower:

Her sister's book is very good, it's her diary she wrote during WWII.
Berlin Diaries by Marie Vassilchikov. Alot about Tatiana & Paul Metternich in it.

I know about the previous relationship ... I gather Prince Heinrich is the administrator for their webpage: www.welfen.de , and saw a picture once of Princess Jutta, which I think she is also called.
