The statement of Prince Alexander of Sayn-Wittgenstein referred to 'Vanity Fair' in which this rebuts her title of Princess. The statement was as follows:

"Dear,
According to the German law and the family code of the Princely House of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn, since the divorce of our son, Prince Casimir, on 5 October 2005, the Mrs Corinna Larsen Adkins has no right to use the title of Princess or the treatment of your Serene Highness (S.A.S.).
Kind regards
Alexander Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein "

What took him so long? It must be awful to see his family's name being dragged through the mud by such a woman.

Why is Corinna Larsen, formerly Adkins, formerly Zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn still referred with the surname of a former husband she divorced almost 13 years ago?

Didn't the head of House of Sayn-Wittgenstein made a statement that Corinna wasn't a part of the family anymore and should be referred to as Corinna Adkins Larsen?
See post #155

I'm not familiar with German law but in the Scandinavian countries atleast you can't take away someone's last name even if they divorce.
I interpret post 155 in regards of her title not her name though the matter is complicated by the fact that in Germany the titles form part of the last name something that's caused a lot of problems when nobles and even their divorced partners have adopted people for money.

The name can not aken away. A new husband could even take the surname Prinz zu Sayan-Wittgenstein-Sayn if he wanted. Or she could adopt people and give them the name Prinz/Prinzessin zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn

Will Princess Benedikte attend her brother-in-law's funeral?

Will Princess Benedikte attend her brother-in-law's funeral?

I would think so. I'd be shocked if both the queen's sisters weren't there. I know extended family like the Swedes are not attending, but Benedikte and AM are different. They were his sister in laws for almost 51 years. My question would be on if and which kids would attend.

I'm sure that Benedikte will attend the funeral.
