Hohenschwangau Castle was built in the 1800s by King Ludwig II's father, King Maximilian II of Bavaria.

Burghausen Castle is near Burghausen in Upper Bavaria, Germany.
Burghausen Castle served as a sovereign castle for the Bavarian Wittelsbachs.
From 1255 to 1503, the castle was the family resince and treasury of the Lower Bavarian dukes.
