They have been quick, last week the scaffolding was not in this place, . In 2007 also the minister of culture, also on the right ideology, put up a scaffold, and called the international press, to say that in 2008 it would be restored, it was placed for 3 years in the palace, and then They took it. I imagine that the current Minister will also visit the scaffolding with a photographer.
When are they going to repair the cross on King Pavlo's tomb (that curiously appeared broken the same day that the Royal House announced an official commitment, a few hours later) ? This is simple, and you don't need a scaffold.
Now that the Greek Minister of Culture, and her followers, has become a great defender of the history of Greece, she could ask that King Constantine and his family be restored in their passport, which was withdrawn by a law 1994, of dubious constitutionality, because our constitution clearly says that the passport of a person born on Greek soil cannot be taken away (And this is not an affirmation of mine, I remember that New Democracy said it in 1994, that it was not constitutional, when they refused to vote in favor of that law...)
This would be a good time, now that the government is giving away passports to famous foreigners...

From an architectural point of view Mon Repos would be my favourite former residence and I much preferred it to that of the Tatoi Palace.

Let's see today an another one Royal Residence , Petit Palais -or otherwise- of the Megaron Psycha located on V. Sofias Avenue.
Prince Nikolaos , the third-born son of King George I, lived there in 1902, after his marriage to the Grand Duchess of Russia Eleni Vladimirovna.
After the resignation of King Constantinos I (1922) and the deportation of Prince Nikolaos to Europe, operated under the same name, "Petit Palais", as a branch of the Hotel Great Britain. In the early 1930s it housed for a short time the Embassy of Norway and from the middle of the same year it houses to this day the Embassy of Italy.

Nothing official yet from the Ministry of Culture but according some informations the first two suitcases have been opened and brand new wonderful evening gowns have been found in them. Then two more suitcases and a trunk were opened and unused traditional costumes were discovered from all over Greece of the two Princesses, Sofia and Eirini. Ethnic costumes were also found for the two princesses from neighboring Balkan countries.

It is a fake news. The newspaper that released this information is, curiously, next golden dawn medium, and part of some suitcases that appear in some photos, one of it with the name "Crown Prince Constantine", the newspaper with bad intentions, affirms that it are the 70 suitcases and trunks of the Queen FrederiKa,it is not true, as if there were treasures inside.... It is not true. ..and it is not true that it would be 70 of Queen Frederika.
Everything is looking ridiculous and outrageous to me.
In the palace of Tatoi in 2007 it was dismantled, the furniture was stored, and the valuables were taken to warehouses athens.
The goods they are taking out of the palace have no value, they are private items, such as toys, old tables ... I think these media are releasing information of this type to ridicule all the expectations that some media, forums, and Facebook groups have raised on this issue. In the palace of Tatoi they are not discovering anything , except if you consider that the king's shorts and the queen's panties are a treasure ... In Tatoi there are only private belongings of King Constantine and Queen Anna Maria, and there could also be Queen Frederica or King Paul but we are talking about personal objects such as Alexia's toys, in all sincerity underwear, shoes, and what may be In those wardrobes of clothes, which has no value, what had value, like the yellow dress of Queen Anne Maria is stored since 2007 in Athens. They are not discovering anything because that furniture has already been checked and stored in rooms of the palace itself in 2007.
This information is published by this medium, and not exactly by telling the truth, but by inventing a story that in my opinion seeks to ridicule the expectation that some people are creating about the palace.

The evacuation of the Stable and the transfer of the carriages to Tatoi was completed
The carriages transported from Stable, which were placed in a new storage space next to the space where the cars of the royal family are kept.
These are 12 carriages, with two of the most important of them: The closed carriage used at the wedding of Queen Sofia of Spain, coach type - purchased by King George I in 1871 - and the specially modified, open carriage, landau type, which was used in the weddings of the King Konstantinos and Queen Anna Maria. Also included are a gold Coupe, 3 Berlin, 2 Phaethon open, one hunting and 3 chaise longue
