I have been thinking that there is not many people in France has interested to have another monarchy constitution, because all of the French I met always give a negative answer (no) for the same question I asked them. Well I should go around France to be sure.

I am afraid there is nothing as "Princely House" in France. In France "Prince" is a status, meaning "belonging to the royal family". All princes of so and so are foreign titles.
The Rohan-Chabot family is a ducal house, a very honourable one, and part of the Chabot family, a very ancient french noble family.
You may have mistaken the House of Rohan Chabot" with the House of Rohan, now austrian who, as being a cadet line of the extinct sovereign House of Brittany, was given the status of "Foreign Prince" in France.

SAR le prince Foulques d'Orléans (HRH the Prince Foulques d'Orleans). Only the head of the Orleans family, his children and the children of his elder son are caled : "N of France", the others are "N of Orleans".

Well it's your opinion. I am not certain at all that nobody wants a king in France. A lot of British don't want to belong to the common market, a lot of French don't want prices in euros, and so on. Opinion is often moving.

Duke of Vendome
Any news on Prince Jean ? If he's got a new girlfriend and if he's still working for the bank. He seems to stay out of the spotlight as much as LAB runs for the camera.

Unfortunately, there are no paintings of it. There is a book by Antonia Fraser that gives a gorgeous description of the gown. When I have time later I will type it up and post here.

What great information gogm and what gorgeous portraits of Empress Eugenie. Thank you for sharing them.
Marie Antoinette was a fascinating figure. What I think it most interesting about her background is her mother, Maria Teresa. She was quite an impressive ruler and for the period one of the few women in Europe so widely praised as being truly "august". Quite a politician and warrior. I think it was Frederick II who, along with Maria Teresa gobbled up huge portions of Poland in 1772, said of his old enemy, MT, that "She wept and wept but she took and took." Wily woman.
