On February 4th ,1505 : Death of Jeanne de France, Duchess de Berry, daughter of Louis XI and Charlotte de Savoie ,Jeanne was married off to the future Louis XII in 1476 whom he later repudiated and he then married Anne of Brittany.Soon after Jeanne now Duchess de Berry retired from public life and took the veil and founded the Order of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and opened her convent in 1500 in Bourges. Here Jeanne died and was buried at the chapel Couvent de l'Annonciade de Bourges. In 1562 rampaging Huguenots sacked Bourges and pillaged and desecrated Jeanne's burial, her remains were dragged out and set on fire and subsequently lost.

The Tomb Monument below has been preserved.

Jeanne de Bourbon'S death greatly affected her husband,Charles V.Her remains were buried at St Denis, whilst her heart at the Couvent des Cordeliers in Paris and her the Couvent des Célestins in Paris. Sadly neither of the tombs at the Parisian Célestins and Cordeliers do not survive as the Couvents were suppressed in 1790 and later plundered and destroyed during the Revolution. The St Denis burials of Jeanne de Bourbon and Charles V were desecrated on October 16th,1793.
