Maria Theresa of Spain was an Infanta of the Spanish Empire. She belonged to the Spanish branch of the House of Habsburg.
She was born September 10, 1638. Her father was King Philip IV of Spain. Her mother was Elisabeth of France.
The negotiations between Spain and France resulted in the Treaty of the Pyrenees. The treaty included an arrangement for marriage between Maria Theresa and King Louis XIV of France.

Its just a memorial her burial was desecrated in October 1793 when the royal vaults were broken open all remains dumped in a mass grave outside the former abbey church.
