Aw, Louise-Marguerite has grown up so much! She seems like a sweet little girl.

Henryane was related to the Houses of France, Bavaria, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. Her father was Antoine de Chaponay, marquis de Chaponay-Morancé and her mother was la princesse Geneviève d’Orléans.

Wonderful photos of the family and the prince. I believe he goes by the title Comte de Clermont.

Chateau d'Amboise is maintained by the fondation Saint Louis, founded by the grandfather of the present count in 1974. I am not sure if he has the right to have an apartment there, but it would have been a sensible provision. IIRC the late Comtesse de Paris lived in a pavillion on the grounds of the castle.

A real wonderful family since two generations.
The Pictures of the Orleans au Coeur Volant (Henri Senior ) were propaganda pictures.

I believe the children were living in a seperate house, next to the manor house? The Coeur Volant was first owned by Lydie Lemercier de Nerville -Madame Aubernon- who served as one of the models for Proust's Madame Verdurin.

I suppose that at the time the Count of Paris (Henri sr) still lived with the hope that De Gaulle would reinstate the monarchy so in that sense these family pictures served a purpose.

It was said that the Comte de Paris 's exile was finished in 1950 and he lived with his family and his nephew Michel de Grece at the manoir Coeur- Volant in Louveciennes.
They had there a mondaine life and invited "le tout Paris".

Lovely photos of the family. I can't believe that Gaston is 10 already!

It seems that Jean is keen on keeping up the family heritage and history - he appears to have an active role in preserving French monarchial history and wants Gaston to follow suit.
