.

Today, May 2, the family attended a ceremony to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Italian Renaissance painter and scientist Leonardo da Vinci at Amboise Castle. French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife were present as well:

You are right: the religious wedding was held on May 2, 2009, the civil wedding took place in March that year.

Jean is due to inaugurate the new square in the town of La Ferté Vidame in the Eure-et-Loire district which has historical ties to the Orleans family:

I believe the castle was owned by the duke de Saint-Simon - known mostly for his memoires of Versailles.

Jean has also paid tribute to Jean Vanier, the creator of L'Arche, who passed away on May 7:

IIRC, his siblings Prince François and Princess Blanche lived at L'Arche communities at some points during their lives.

The passing of Monsieur Vanier surely means a great deal to the Count of Paris, his mother the Duchess of Montpensier, and his surviving brother and sisters.

Yes they did

I am not sure about Francois where he was, but Blanche was at L'Arche d'Aigrefoin. They would spend weekends and some holidays with their family and grandparents but most of the week at the community.

I can imagine that perhaps several members of the Orleans family will be present at Mr. Vanier's funeral, given how much L'Arche must have helped Francois and Blanche during their time living there.

Aw, little Joseph has grown up so much! Such sweet photos. Where were they taken? The background looks like the backstreet of a typical southern French village.

Probably in Amboise, the city where Prince Jean has a pied-à-terre (his main residence still is the Domaine de Dreux). Besides the beautiful Château-Royal, the ville itself is very pittoresque

Lovely photos! I presume this was the backdrop for Joseph's third birthday pictures. I reckon Louise-Marguerite wanted to wear her beautiful white dress herself, since it seems very formal in comparison to the other children's clothes.
