New Royal Wedding in Brunei:
"By the royal command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei Darussalam, the palace has announced the upcoming wedding of Her Royal Highness Princess 'Azemah Ni 'matul Bolkiah (38) and His Highness Prince Bahar Bolkiah (41) will be held from 8 to 15 January 2023.
The wedding will be held exactly like the previous one for her younger sister Princess Fadzilah in 2022.The series of ceremonies will begin with the ceremony of proposal of marriage to receive the Royal Command will be held on 8 January at the Palace Istana Nurul Iman, followed by the performances of royal court musicians to formally herald the start of the royal wedding celebrations on 9 January at the Lapau Royal Ceremonial Hall in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Meanwhile, the Ceremony of Receiving the Royal Article and the Royal Engagement will be held on 10 January while the Ceremony of applying powder paste to the Bride will be held on 11 January.
The solemnisation of the marriage vows will follow on 12 January at the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. Then the highlight of the week-long celebration is the Royal Wedding Reception, which will take place on 13 January at the Istana Nurul Iman.
A royal banquet will cap off wedding celebrations on the evening of 14 January. And the Prayer Reading Ceremony and Closing of royal court musicians will be held on 15 January, marked the end of the series of the ceremonies.
Princess 'Azemah Ni'matul Bolkiah (born 26 September 1984) is the daughter of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah of Brunei Darussalam, with his former second wife Hajah Miriam Abdul Aziz. She is the elder sister of Prince Abdul Mateen.
Pengiran Muda Bahar Bolkiah (born 20 August 1981) is the son of Pengiran Muda Haji Jefri Bolkiah (younger brother of the current Sultan of Brunei Darussalam). He is the elder brother of Prince Faiq Bolkiah, a famous football player.
Both of them are polo players and represent Brunei's polo squad with Princess Fadzilah Lubabul and Prince 'Abdul Mateen."
