I really hope all goes well, surgery at his age is always risky.
 
The Pope will remain in hospital for the next week as per the Vatican.
 
My cousin had that surgery. He's in for a few days of serious discomfort.:sad:

Pope Francis is in good general condition, awake and breathing on his own.

Surgery for diverticular stenosis, which took place on the afternoon of July 4, included a left hemicolectomy and lasted three hours.

You are expected to stay in the hospital for seven days, unless you have any complications.

Pope Francis will remain in hospital until Sunday or Monday under observation and the surgery was more complicated than expected .

A tumour has been ruled out.

The Pope held the weekly Sunday Angelus from a balcony at the A. Gemelli University Hospital today and invited some young patients to the ceremony.

 
That's good news after a 10 day stay in hospital and can recuperate on his summer vacation.
 
A Police Investigation is underway after 3 bullets were sent sent to the Pope in an envelope addressed to the Holy Father.

The envelope was sent from France and was intercepted in Milan.
