On June 27th, Princess Hisako visited an exhibition (?) including a portrait of Viscount Sukenori Soga in Niseko Town, Hokkaido Prefecture. She's visiting the area for local inspection.

Although Soga as a feudal lord of the Yanagawa Domain (currently Fukuoka Prefecture) at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, he was involved in the development of the Soga district in Niseko Town.

On July 19th, the Imperial Household Agency reported Princess Tsuguko tested positive for Covid-19. She is asymptomatic and will be monitored/treated at home. Her mother Princess Hisako tested negative and has canceled her appearances for this week as a precaution (July 19 football match in Ibaraki Prefecture, July 20-21 Yamagata Prefecture JRCS branch anniversary).

Timeline:
July 18: a Takamado family employee confirmed infection
July 19: Hisako, Tsuguko, and 12 employees take PCR tests in the morning

Only Tsuguko tested positive and is the 3rd Imperial family member to have the novel coronavirus. The route of the infection is unknown as there was no contact between the staff member and Tsuguko.

On the same day, an employee working for the Emeritus couple tested positive. The IHA will now conduct weekly tests of employees at households with elderly royals from the 19th.

You're welcome! Yes, the IHA announced the birth.

I saw Ayako's English wikipedia has been updated about her second son and apparently the IHA announced her 2nd pregnancy (at least according to magazine news-postseven April article)

I don't remember any announcement but perhaps the mainstream media or IHA press club didn't publish? I need to go back and see if the IHA announced her 1st pregnancy.
